The simple Excel formulas (calculation VAT

inclusive)

A quick look with simple formulas in Excel, and especially the calculation

of VAT and inclusive of the sale price (including tax) for a purchase price

without VAT (tax). Double click Excel icon on the desktop or the Start

menu => All Programs.

A new document Excel appears: We wil l here make a summary invoice

of purchase of the computer company Kioskea. The company we bought

4 PC € 395.75, € 869.50 for 2 Phones, 6 USB to 22.50 €, 4 flat screens €315.00 and 4 memory arrays to 58.00 €. We will put on the cell D13 (in

our example) or we have the result of Total Cost HT Then for this example we'll use the function

= SUM (B13 * C13) Explanation: = sum (unit price multiplied ht (*) amount), then click on

keyboard input. Reproduce the formula: Click on cell D13 (in our example) then position you in

the bottom right of the cell on the black square, your cursor turns into black cross, hold the left

mouse button and drag the handle until the cell D17 release, we have the result of any totals HT.

We will now calculate the VAT We will put on the cell E13 (in our example) or we have the result

of VAT and enter the formula = sum (D13 * 19.6%), and then click on keyboard input. Use

replicate the formula as indicated on the explanation above

Calculation of VAT price for each item : We will put on the cell F13 (in our example) or we have

the result of price Taxes 1st solution: enter the formula = sum (D13: E13) , 2nd solution: tool

on the cell F18 (in our example) or we have the result of Total Taxes and enter the formula = sum
