Phil and Lori O’Day, along with their children, Nathan, Erin, and Evan, serve in Texas at the Camino Global headquarters. Please pray for the following items:• Camino Global’s two newest fields in Uruguay and

Colombia• This summer, Phil and Nathan will travel to

Uruguay and Colombia to visit the ministry teams in these countries.

• This summer, along with the South America trip with Phil, Nathan (who will be newly graduated from high school) will take a second mission trip to New York City with his youth group. Pray for Nathan as he prepares and raises funds to go on both trips.

Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”

Matthew 28:1-10

On the journey to the tomb, the women’s hearts must have been heavy, thinking of the work they had to do. They had come to care for the body of their dead friend and teacher. Life seemed empty, quiet and lonely after Jesus died. Hopes had been high just weeks before, and it all ended so quickly and painfully.

As they arrived, they did not find the body of Jesus,

but soldiers frozen dead and a mighty messenger who said, “He is not here, he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.”

Jesus, Son of the Living God, had conquered the grave and was calling them ahead to meet him in Galilee...

And the women ran.

They ran as fast as they could just to be with Him, to see Him again. What had started as a difficult task, ended in excitement and hope. And when they found Jesus, He greeted them with great joy, and they worshipped!

It is our prayer that what the women experienced that day would touch us and help us to remember afresh the power of the Resurrection and the excitement of running out to meet our Dear Friend and Risen Lord! May you and your family be refreshed and strengthened this Easter season.

The College & Career group will meet on April 14 & 28 at 7:00pm here at Fellowship in the Meeting Place. This is a relaxed and comfortable

Exciting things are happening at Fellowship Chapel: Bible Studies and Alpha, men’s basketball and Boy Scouts, committee meetings, support groups, showers, and many, many more. If you are having an event at Fellowship—evenifthiseventhasbeendoneatthechurchfordecades—we would like you to take a few moments and fill out our updated Building Usage Form. The Building Usage Form can be found on the main page of the website under “Contact Us and Forms”. Once you complete the form online, it is automatically sent to the church office. Hard copies of the form will be available in the HUB and can be completed and returned to the designated basket also located in the HUB. This form will ensure each event runs smoothly from a facilities usage perspective (doors will be opened, requested AV support will be in place, and rooms will be reserved). Thank you for your help and don’t forget to fill out a form for your group today!

died. That’s a historical fact. But the significance is… Christ died for me. Christ arose that third day. That’s a historical fact as well. But the significance? Christ brings life to all who believe. Christ brings life to me when I believe in Him. If you have never trusted Christ personally, I encourage you to take that step even as you read this article. Being a Christian isn’t about information (though there are some things you must know), but it’s about a relationship with Jesus Christ. Sadly, many people look at Easter much like my friend looked at her English classes. They know the facts, but it really doesn’t matter in life. They know the answers, but it hasn’t really changed their lives.

If you were to ask the average person about what happened on Good Friday or Easter Sunday, you’d probably get the right answer – that Jesus died on a cross and arose from the dead. But if you asked about the significance of those events, you’d no doubt get a blank stare. The death of Christ and His resurrection must become personal for each of us. Christ

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Those that can’t do, teach.” Having been trained as an educator, I really hated it when people said that. I soon realized that many people thought that way. The idea is that knowing something (or being able to teach it) and doing it are totally different things. And that, unfortunately, is very true.

Years ago, a student of mine (an English major) answered a question with something like, “I don’t got none.” When I commented on the bad grammar, she responded by saying that she could put the right answers on a test, but it really didn’t matter in life.
