    Show-Me Institute

    Internships: Spring 2014The Show-Me Institute is pleased to offer internship opportunities for

    Spring 2014. Internships are open to current undergraduate and graduate

    students, as well as recent graduates.

    Spring internships will last approximatel four months. The exact starting and

    ending dates are flexi!le, !ut each intern is expected to wor" at least 10 wee"s.

    #o internship shall start prior to $anuar 1%, 2014. Spring internships will end on

    or !efore Ma 2%, 2014.

    Spring interns can wor" a full-time schedule &' a.m.-( p.m., with one hour for

    lunch), or arrange for a part-time schedule to accommodate class schedules.

    Interns will !e in*ol*ed in *irtuall all aspects of the Institute+s operations.Interns will wor" closel with senior staff on a wide *ariet of proects. The can

    expect greater responsi!ilit and personal attention than the would recei*e at

    larger organiations.

    Interns will assist staff mem!ers with a *ariet of tas"s. These ma include

    researching pu!lic polic topics, organiing e*ents, and writing and editing

    op-eds, newsletter articles, studies, and other documents. Some administrati*e and

    clerical tas"s will also !e reuired.

    / Show-Me Institute internship is an excellent opportunit to impro*e our

    research and writing s"ills. ach intern will produce regular !log posts and an

    op-ed on a pu!lic polic topic of interest to him or her. ach intern will recei*efeed!ac" and assistance from SMI staff mem!ers throughout the process.

    /ll internships are at the Show-Me Institute+s offices in Saint ouis, Mo.

    Interns will !e paid on an hourl !asis.

    Those wishing to !e considered for an internship should su!mit the enclosed application

    and the reuested supporting materials. The deadline for applications is ecem!er 3,201%. owe*er, we will !egin conducting inter*iews as applications are recei*ed.

    /pplicants can expect a decision no later than mid-ecem!er.
