The Short Story
Objective
By the end of tomorrow, students will be able to:
-Define literary terms as they apply to
short stories.
Why?
In order to analyze short stories, we will need to know how to talk about them.
Once we know how to talk about these stories and the literary devices within them, we will move toward writing a Literary Analysis.
To Reach the Objectives (2 days)
1. Introduce and define each word
2. In groups- create a "word diagram" that will help others to remember what each Literary Device is
3. Share your "word diagram" with the class
4. Assess knowledge on all devices
