It’s hard to believe that 12 years ago the attack took place on American soil and our

lives in the United States of America were changed forever. We got to experience first

hand the destruction and devastation that many nations throughout the world suffer

everyday and have for years. It’s hard for me personally to even imagine the fear that

many people deal with throughout the world in various countries every day. People

have lost husbands, wives and children in the war torn nations. They can’t even go

anywhere without knowing if they will get home safely. We only are exposed to a

small portion of the tragedies that transpire and it seems to me that are hearts are

getting hardened more and more everyday and apathy has a tendency to settle in. (I’m

speaking of my own heart).

As Christians and followers of Jesus Christ we are instructed to pray for our enemies,

to do good to those who would harm us. Think of the Christians who prayed for Paul

when he was Saul and was going from town to town annihilating those who followed

Jesus’s teaching wherever he went. He stood and watched them kill Stephen and heard

Stephen’s powerful prayer and testimony as he watched and held his garments.

Imagine all the Christians praying for Paul and look how God struck him blind and all

the great works that Paul did for the rest of his life on earth and how now he has life

eternal.

We serve an amazing God and as I pray for the tragedies that are transpiring

throughout the world it is a comfort knowing the Jesus is the “King of Kings” and

“Lord of Lords”, that He rules and reigns. That God appoints leaders in all nations and

countries to bring about His divine plan. His plan is that we all would be saved and

live on earth as they do in heaven. And in the future every knee will bow and every

tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and old things will pass away and all new

things will come forth...HALLELUJAH!

I asked God one day why He just doesn’t end all this foolishness and come now, His

answer to me was, “which of your loved ones do you want to see suffering in hell?”

So if you’re frustrated and worried about the way your life is going and what is

transpiring in the world, I encourage you to call on Jesus and ask Him to take over

your life and renew you and put a right spirit in you. He will, you know. That’s what I

did over 40 years ago and He continually helps me everyday. The last few years I have

been reading the Bible out loud and it continues to amaze me how “The Word” does

heal me and helps me and comforts me. It shouldn’t amaze me, God says that’s what it

does. The best thing I like about being a Christian is that God teaches me new things

everyday. Just when I get one thing in my life straightened out He points out another

area that needs a bit of tweeking.

Jesus, I thank you for being so patient and kind. I thank you for your unconditional

love and your blood that washes me and cleanses me continually. Thank you for the

gift of the Holy Spirit that guides me in my life. Thank you for saving my soul and

making me whole!!!! THANK YOU!!
