Origin and background
• Gottlob Frege is the first intellectual in the philosophy of language• Fredge (1892) argued that ideas cannot be meaning.• Ideas are subjective whereas meaning is Objective.• Denotation is not enough. We need sense.• Fredge said that along with referring expression and denotations
there is also another element called ‘sense’

Definition of sense
• “A way that the denotation is presented or known to the language user .” The morning star is morning star. The morning star is the evening star. ‘Sense is not same how ?????? Though represent to the same star Venus” And
• “The meaning of a sentence is its sense or its satisfaction condition”
