Nature

• Nature has gradually found its way into our homes, and in 2017 it continues to inspire. Think tree branches and other natural materials in earthy colors.

• Natural materials, cool tones flowing into warm ones, neutral colors and metal finishes. Patterns are expected to shift from the current high contrasting graphics to more visually soothing elements.

LOBBY EVOLUTION

• In 2017, more front desks will be replaced with sit-down, comfortable concierge desks and sofa check-ins handled by staff equipped with iPads while guests sip on coffee. Additional design changes will aim to move guests out of their rooms and into dynamic social spaces.

DARK GREEN

• Shades of blue and green dominate the lobby of any hotel, giving it a relaxing feel perfect to wind down after a long day.

• Classically elegant color schemes will be prominent in 2017, ranging from beige and grey to natural finishes. Metal will also play a major role, including silver, tin and stainless steel.
