• It is the scientific study of the remains of past human cultures– buildings, tools,
pottery, and even garbage
WHY ARE WE DOING ARCHAEOLOGY?
• What about the Historical Record?• Learn about people who lived in the area• To learn about how the landscape has
changed through time– Locate the Fair Building and School house
• Learn more about activities that occurred at the County Fair– Material Culture
