Offense 39In 6-on-5 presentation 39, the 4-2 rotation into a 3-3 has failed. Skillful passing with a good read of the middle guard creates single coverage on a post for a goal.
The ball’s movement around the 6-on-5 causes X-2, the middle guard, to move back and forth between the right and left posts. Eventually, X-2 is slow to cover the right 3 post. 4 passes the ball to the open 3 for the score.
OffenseIn 6-on-5 presentation 39, the pass from 4 to 3 is the most difficult pass is water polo. The ball is thrown by 4 high and to the inside so that the 3-post can slap the ball into the goal. into the goal.
There is usually a righthander on the 3-post so catching the ball is out of the question.

Defense 39In 6-on-5 presentation 39, the defense is aware that the offense wants to score from either post, particularly the 3 post from a 4-3 sequence. To prevent the 3-post score, X-5 drops down on 3 when the ball is at 1. When the ball X-5 drops down on 3 when the ball is at 1. Offense 40In 6-on-5 presentation 40, the 6-on-5 offense fails to get an open man with the rotation and a 2-on-1 situation advantage. Now the offense turns to get single coverage on the post by beating X-2, the middle guard, with ball on the post by beating X-2, the middle guard, with ball movement. X-2 cannot swim faster than the ball.
The ball is passed until the middle guard X-2 is beaten and one of the post players is open. The outside passers read the defense and pass to the open post.
Offense 40The 1-6-5-2 passing sequence creates single coverage on the left 2-post for a difficult 5-2 pass. This is one of most difficult passes to throw in water polo. The ball is passed inside and slapped into the goal. Do not attempt passed inside and slapped into the goal. Do not attempt to catch the ball and shoot it as it requires too much time. With the extra time, X-1 guard knocks down the ball.
