WHAT IS PROTEIN MATRIX?

WHY PROTEIN MATRIX?

Protein Matrix products react with fat, oil and greasein pipes, sewers, grease traps, interceptors and lift

stations to create a environmentally-benignbyproduct that is compatible with sewage watertreatment system infrastructure and processes.

HOW IT WORKS

The proteins and peptides found in Protein MatrixIGR disrupt the intermolecular forces between FOGmolecules, minimizing the formation of large, solid

blocks of fat.

STEP 1

Protein Matrix IGR converts FOG into a flowable andenvironmentally-benign product.This flowable

byproduct is non-foaming, will never re-agglomerate,and is more easily digested by wastewater treatment

plant organisms.

STEP 2

Unlike traditional degreasing products, which canhave a detrimental effect on waste water purificationsystem infrastructure and biota, Protein Matrix IGR-treated FOG does not pose a problem for Wastewater

Treatment Plants (WWTP). This is because FOGparticles are broken and more easily digested bymicroorganisms during the treatment process. .

Sodium hydroxide, commonly known as lye, is usedindustrially to convert fat to fatty acid salts in aprocess known as saponification. Protein Matrix

Industrial Grease Remediation’s (IGR) conversion offat and grease is 120% more effective than sodium

hydroxide.
