“To enhance and preserve the natural environment of the Chumash Reservation in order to provide a safe

and healthy community for its residents and visitors.”

Environmental Advisory Committee(EAC)

Goals

• To learn about and discuss all the issues taking place on the Reservation that affect the natural environment and human health/safety.

Why do we need an EAC?

• To establish a healthy and sustainable environment.

• Helps us to serve you better.• Ensures that we are meeting your (the Tribe’s) goals.

• Proven to get results.

• Easy and fun!

What we need from you (the EAC).

The ABCs of the EAC

• Attend quarterly meetings.

• Be a steward of the environment.

• Communicate concerns of the Tribal Community to

us.

• Share what you learn with the Tribal Community.

What to expect from us (your SYCEO).

• Listen and understand your environmental concerns.

• Represent the Tribe’s best interests.

• Share our knowledge with you.

• Inform you of our progress and accomplishments.
