How Much Klout Do You Have?

Ever wanted to know how much clout you had with other people? Now there is a site that tells you!

Klout.com tracks your social networking “style”, the topics you tend to tweet or post about most, and how much interaction and influence you have on those who follow you online.

This is a great tool for data collection, understanding your ROI (return on investment) into so-cial mediums, and also, a great way to do your “due diligence” when considering working, and networking with particular people who claim to be “experts” in various areas.

For instance, here’s what Klout says about me today, June 23, 2011:

* With a Score of 69, Klout (According to Klout, “The scores range from 1-100 with higher scores representing a wider and stronger sphere of influence.”)

* It says that I am Influential in the following topics: Social Media, Travel and Tourism, Sacra-mento, Business- and topics like puppies, pizza and chocolate (go figure!)

It gives me some great stats too, so I know, just how well, I’m doing with my social media. Here are a few examples:

While I have over 4,000 followers, my TRUE Reach is to about 2,000. Your TRUE REACH is a great number to keep in mind when you’re networking online.

Not only does it give me my True Reach when it comes to followers, but it tells me just how influential my audience is! Are they mentioning, retweeting, commenting, and “liking” my con-tent? Klout says, for me, “Yes they are!” **

Klout is an excellent resource when looking at the “total” picture of how social media is work-ing for you! It’s free to sign up and use, and you can see how influential some of your friends and followers are!

DIVE INTO EXPANDED VISION AND POTENTIAL by Susan Rueppel, Ph.D.

The Observation I recently had a dream in which I saw a fish at the bottom of the ocean - but instead of roaming free, it was living in a fish bowl. The whole ocean was avail-able, if it would only swim out the open top of the fishbowl to the expanse be-yond. When I asked what the dream meant, it was about how our mental perceptions and conditioning sometimes limit our ability to vision, think or act beyond self imposed limitations, or artificial boundaries of our own ‘fish bowl.’ The Inspiration On a recent whale watching trip I had the opportunity to see the way hump back whales frolic on the surface then dive deep for minutes at a time. Whales sym-bolize awakening inner depths, creation and potential. Webster says potential means: capable of being but not yet in existence; denoting possibility, capability or power; the inherent ability or capacity for growth, development or coming into being. The beauty and wisdom of the whales is inspirational - playing on the surface, using their blow holes to exhale loudly (releasing old energy), or breaching com-pletely out of the water (creative inspiration). Then while diving deep they use sonar (echo-location) to bounce sound off things to get back information (a type of vision). So let’s use the ocean and the wisdom of the whales as a model for diving into the depths of creativity, expanded vision, and potential. more profitable. The Process Here’s a way to dive into the brilliance of your business to vision bigger using your intuition: Take a few deep breaths as you close your eyesImagine a flat video screen in front of your closed your eyes (this is your intu-ition screen)Hold the intention that you are going to dive into the brilliance of your business to get information that your business wants you to knowVisualize your company logo on your intuition screen - or if you don’t have a logo, create a symbol that represents your businessHold in your awareness a business question to which you’d like an answer. It can be specific or general such as “What does my business want me to know?”Now picture yourself diving into your logo or symbol as you ask your business for its answer to your questionAs you imagine yourself inside your logo allow yourself to take some time and be hyper sensitive to all extra-sensory input. All input provides pieces of the an-swer. What symbols or pictures do you see unfolding on your intuition screen? What do you hear with your inner ear? How does it feel in your body? What do you just know? As you allow it to unfold, more information will come forward.When you feel complete, take a few deep breaths and withdraw your attention from you logo or image, and back to your physical surroundings.Record your experience to make it more real, answering the questions in # 7 above. Another technique is, starting at # 4 above, imagine yourself swimming out of your fish bowl at the bottom of the ocean (yes you can easily breathe under wa-ter!) and into the expansive ocean while you observe with all your inner senses. When you feel complete, rise to the surface and frolic like the whales with your new found insights. One of the things I love about using intuition in business, is that it helps us tap into the bigger vision for our business that is available when we get out of the ‘fish bowl’ of our mental limitations and conditioning. Sometimes our businesses have a bigger vision than we are consciously aware of!
