NOTICESHot Dog VanThe Hot Dog Van roster is now up and running for 2017. The next event is the Winchester Swap Meet on 1st April.
Know How: (formerly called District Assembly, COTS and Showcase) Saturday 8th April at Logan Park High School in Dunedin from 9.30am -3.30pm. This is a very valuable training day for incoming officers for the 2017/2018 year. The focus is on giving club officers the information and support they need to carry out their role and it will showcase best practice and ideas. See President Elect Peter for details.
White Horse Big Easy Where? Waimate When? April 9th 2017This event comprises four separate events: Bike, Walk/Run, The Whitehorse Challenge and a Children’sRace. All are loop roads and finish at the Waimate A&P Showgrounds.The White Horse Challenge has three parts- one teammember completes the 18 km run, the second a 25km mountain bike ride and finally the two team members have to raise $500 for charity. RYLA 2017 April 17th -21st in Alexandra. Participants urgently required. They are holding one place for an applicant form our club.
RYLA is a leadership development programme run by Rotary. Participants should be between the ages of 18 &24. Most events focus on secondary school and university students, or young professionals. RYLA events are typically three-to-10 days long and include presentations, activities, and workshops covering a variety of topics, including:
Leadership fundamentals and ethics Communication skills Problem solving and conflict management Community and global citizenship
