Over twenty club members and a number of guests enjoyed great friendship and conversation at this
inaugural event in our club calendar. It was wonderful to welcome back former Swiss exchange student
Enya who with her friend Larissa was visiting Kevin and Cheryl Harrison for a few days on a holiday to NZ
and Australia. In addition, Rotarians, partners and guests enjoyed a number of features about the night.
The price of $15.00 was much appreciated, the finger food was absolutely delicious, Alan's continually
revolving slide show most informative and the President (thankfully) kept his remarks to a bare
minimum. Although the advertised event time was from 6.30 until 7.30pm, many people arrived at 6.15,
whilst the last guests left close to 8.00pm. Due to the DG's visit on the last Tuesday of August, our next
Friendship Cocktails will be held on 25th September.
Our thoughts are with Ian Vesey who is in hospital at the moment after an asthma attack and we send him, along with Marg our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I remind all Board Members of our Board meeting next week and that Darren (Registration), Heather (Chair/Raffle) and Raman (Director of Fun) are on duty.
