Joselin and Franklin are home in Honduras Child 63 for Gift of Life Mid-South came to us with hope and faith from Honduras. Franklin O’Campo and Mom, Joselin, stole our hearts as LeBonheur’s great surgeons fixed his. Susan Scott from the Gift of Life board and Rotary members from our joint sponsoring clubs in Collierville and Germantown met them at the airport for their brief stay in Memphis. After a successful surgery and an extra week to recover we were all touched by watching little Franklin, run, play and dance at our Gala on October 6th. And now they’re back home with a renewed hope for a normal life for Franklin. 1 Gift of Life Mid-South News Upcoming Gift of Life Events Our 64th child will be coming to us in mid November another prescious child from Honduras. Here about us on Rotary on the Radio Thursday mornings 8:30-9:30 AM 990 The Gift of Life Mid-South Gala was held Tuesday, October 6th at the Lichterman Nature Center. The program recognized our volunteers and Doctors and we were honored by the presence of Robbie Donno, the founder of Gift of Life International who was the key note speaker along with our wonderful surgeon Doctor Susheel Kumar. Pictures of the event are on page two of the newsletter. The Rotary Club of Memphis held a skeet shooting tournament last week. Several teams entered and Gift of Life Mid-South will be one of the beneﬁciaries. THANK YOU ROTARY CLUB OF MEMPHIS! October 22nd at Windyke Country Club the Rotary Club of Memphis East will hold it’s annual golf outing with proceeds going to White Station Elementary School and Gift of Life Mid-South. THANK YOU ROTARY CLUB MEMPHIS EAST! Scott Conger of the Jackson Rotary Club presents a check at the Gala as their club named Gift of Life as the Club’s International Project!
