Monier India opens an exclusive showroom in Kochi, Kerala and introduces “Plano” – The first flat concrete roof tile manufactured in India.

With the much eventful 2010 now behind we started the new business year on a very energized note with local launch events at Pune, Bangalore and Kochi to unveil our new 'made in India’ Plano profile.

Being the leaders in innovative roofing systems, the Plano is first time ever a

completely flat concrete roof tile to help architects design a truly contemporary pitched roof for houses. In our constant endeavor to provide our customers with a complete roofing system the Plano comes with two accessory options of, namely the Radiant Barrier underlay for a Coloroof or a Veltisun underlay to provide a watertight roof.

In January'11 we have opened an exclusive showroom in Kochi. This is a strong step to reinforce our long-term commitment to the Kerala’s market and to the Roofing Partners across Kerala. This showroom will help us to service the requirements of our customers, architects and Roofing Partners very closely.

With summer months of March to May ahead we are now fully geared to meet the growing construction demand for supplying and meeting the demand surge of roofing tiles and roof system components during these months. It’s time that everyone proceeds fast to complete their roof and/or replace their old roof for a much needed facelift using the wide product portfolio on offer from Monier.

Roofing Fabricators Meet - 2011

Monier India & Designer Publications Kerala Pvt. Ltd. organized ‘The Roofing Fabricators Meet’ on Sunday, 13th March, 2011 at Hotel Hamilton, Eranakulam, Kochi (Kerala).

This special event inaugurated by Mr. Santosh Paul (Architect, Santosh Pual & Associates, Kochi), followed technical session by Mr. Sebastian (Architect, Silpi Architects, Kochi), Mr. Ramesh (Architect, Polyline Architects, Kochi) and Mr. Shalimar M S, Consultant, KITCO. Around 31 Roof Fabricators participated and the event was very interactive and blissful. Monier India presented participation gifts to all fabricators in the event.

Inauguration of Monier Roof Showroom at Kochi:

On 14th January, 2011 Monier India launched an exclusive showroom in Kochi, Kerala (south India), to display its entire product range – roof tiles, fittings and roof system components. This also gives Monier an opportunity to be closer to the biggest roof tiles market

and to provide a better customer service.

This showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Georg Harrasser, CEO – Asia Pacific, Monier and by Mr. Rajeev Antony, Director & GM – Monier India, in the presence of Mr. Ashok Ninan, Head – Sales & Marketing, Monier India, eminent architects from Kochi, Monier’s Roofing Partners and its sales team.

Plano launched in January 2011

Monier India has launched a new flat profile roof tile called PLANO, the first flat concrete roof tile to be manufactured in India. These elegant concrete tiles have an absolutely flat surface and come in attractive mono-tone colors. It is also meticulously finished with glossy efflorescent preventive coating which makes it fungi and algae resistant. Plano is all set to redefine roofing aesthetics in the country.

The Plano was launched in three phases; in Kochi on 14th January, 2011, in Bangalore on 17th January, 2011 and in Pune on 19th January, 2011
