Tony: I want to thank all those who have volunteered as Hospitality Ministers, your stewardship was and is greatly appreciated. I also want to take this moment to remind everyone that Bishop Malesic has dispensed individuals from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays, so, if you are older, have underlying health conditions, have a cough of any sort, are feeling sick, or are uncomfortable gathering together in person, you are encouraged to stay home. Our first time gathering together for the celebration of Sunday Mass went very well. We had more than enough Hospitality Ministers to assist with seating and cleaning. Since the cleaning between Masses went so well, I do not see a need to continue with our temporary Mass times. So our Sunday Masses will return to their regular times this Sunday, June 14 th . We will continue to stream Sunday Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube, as well as broadcast on WMBS at 3:00 p.m. Things didn’t go exactly as planned to broadcast on Channel 77, due to technical difficulties on both ends. So hopefully, this Sunday, June 14 th , at 10:00 a.m., we will make our Channel 77 debut. I am also pleased that we didn’t have to turn anyone away this past Sunday, as there was more than enough seating while practicing social distancing. Churches will be open an hour before Mass and I would like to encourage everyone to continue to practice social distancing while seating themselves before Sunday Mass. If you are the first in a pew, I just ask that you be kind and compassionate enough to sit in the middle of the pew. And lastly, since we will continue to distribute Holy Communion outside of Mass, I want to remind everyone to observe Reverent Silence until the Eucharist is placed in the tabernacle. I look forward to seeing everyone very soon. Regular Office Hours Have Resumed: Monday through Thursday - 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday - 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM Parish Office is located at 61 N. Staying Connected

Thirty children from our four parishes have long been waiting to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. There will be one Celebration for First Eucharist on Sunday, July 12th, at a 4:00 p.m. Mass.

In order for us to follow social distancing guidelines, the children and their parents will be the only ones in attendance at this Mass.

We ask all of our parishioners to keep these children in your prayers as they prepare to receive Jesus.

TRANSFORMATION

The effect of our sharing in the Body and Blood of Christ is to change us into what we receive.

—Pope St. Leo the Great

F T C W ... This year the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is Friday, June 19th, and commemorates and celebrates the mercy of God, wherein the heart of Jesus is viewed as a symbol of God’s boundless and passionate love for mankind. The heart is no mere Valentine’s Day heart, but a

veristic human heart sometimes accompanied by thorns. This year the Feast of The Immaculate Heart of Mary is celebrated June 20th and refers to the interior life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, her joy and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections, and, above all, her virginal love for God the Father, her maternal love for her son Jesus, and her compassionate love for all people. Traditionally, the heart is depicted pierced with seven wounds or swords, in homage to the seven dolors of Mary. Also, roses or another type of flower may be wrapped around the heart.
