• Early Recovery Cluster is one of 11 Clusters• UNDP leads CWGER with 26 members• 3 focus areas:

Technical support for ER at country levelTools and guidance for ERStrengthening partnerships

The Role of the ER Advisor

• Deployed on behalf of (and paid for by)the CWGER

• Specific Tasks:supporting the work of the RC/HC in overseeing

inter-cluster and inter-agency ER linkagesfacilitating the Early Recovery NetworkAssessing ER needsDevelopment of an ER Strategic FrameworkInformation Management for ER

Links with SPs and PDAs

• Targeted role in ER assessment, planning, coordination

• Feeds into, but is only one part, of planning process for broader recovery/transition process (overseen by SP)

• Informed by work of PDA on social cohesion, and reliant on PDA to help mainstream conflict prevention throughout ER interventions
