NEWSLETTER Week 9 Term 2 17th June 2015
Principal’s Report
Dear Parent/Carer
Reports & Parent/Teacher Interviews
Reports for all students K-10 will be
issued on Monday 22nd June. Primary
Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held
on Wednesday 24th June from 3-6pm.
Please see your child’s classroom
teacher to book an appointment, if you
haven’t already done so. Secondary
parents please contact the school if you
require an interview.
Riverina Cross Country
Last Thursday and Friday, several
primary and secondary students
participated in the Riverina Cross
Country Carnival at Gundagai. Both
carnivals were very successful for all
students from TRCS. Many students
achieved personal best times at this
high level. Congratulations to Noah
Vennell (2nd) and Cameron Terlich (3rd)
who will represent our school at the
State Cross Country Carnival at Eastern
Creek in Term 3.
P&C Cake Stall
TRCS P&C are holding a cake stall this
Friday 19th June out the front of the
local Friendly Grocer (IGA) from 8am.
Please support our school by cooking a
cake, slice or biscuits. All items can be
dropped directly to the stall on Friday
morning or delivered to school Friday
morning. “Many hands make light work”.
P&C Raffle
Our P&C are seeking donations to use
for a fundraiser raffle in Term 3. If you
have any brand new items, which you
could donate or know any businesses
that you could approach to donate items,
this would be greatly appreciated.
Disco Thank You
It was great to see so many students
enjoying themselves at the SRC disco
last Wednesday night. A huge thank you
to the SRC and Mrs Fletcher who
organised this event for our students.
A special thank you to Keith and Danni
Fraser who kindly donated their time,
music equipment, lights and special
effects. This was even extra special, as
it was Keith’s birthday (HAPPY
BIRTHDAY KEITH).
Year 4/5/6 Excursion to Canberra
Early Term 4 students in Years 4/5/6
have the opportunity to travel to
Canberra and experience many
wonderful educational opportunities. A
$100 deposit is due by the end of Week
2 next term to secure their position.
Please call the school office on
69202132 if you require another
Expression of Interest form.
New Equipment
You may have noticed our bright new
exercise stations on our school oval. The
students have been busily utilising the
new equipment during our PEP program
and lunchtime play. I would like to thank
Mick Mazzocchi for donating his time
and expertise to install this equipment
for our students to use. Hopefully in the
near future you will see some more
stations added around our oval.

School News (cont.)
Walking up the garden path
I hear a spooky noise
I stop to look
And standing there
Is a tiny pumpkin toy
I don’t know where it came from
I don’t know what to do
All I do is stand beside
And wack it with my shoe
Art Excursion On Monday Year 5 had the opportunity to visit Strayleaves Art Studio owned by Mrs Raeleen Pfeiffer. This visit
enabled the students to complete a mono-print artwork under the guidance of Mrs Pfeiffer, who is a renowned local artist.
The students learnt about inking techniques and had the chance to use her equipment to make their print. The students
also did still-life drawings, using numerous artefacts.
As you can see from the pictures below, all the students enjoyed this hands-on experience immensely and we look
forward to more visual art tutorials by Mrs Pfeiffer. Thank you to Mrs Pfeiffer for sharing her knowledge and time with
us.
