TREAD TOWARDS PURPOSEFUL LIFE

How to turn defeat into victory

Quite often than not, it is seen that little set back disturb our complete mental equilibrium. This

causes mental agony, distress, dejection and irritation and subsequently we give up and accept the

defeat.

Many times, my intellectual friends asked me what we do when life throws us into worst.

The Murphy Law says, “Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong at the worst possible time”. But the

Law says further that the key of your success is not to give –up.

I will like to quote a few lines of a famous poem” Don’t Quit”. The author is unknown, but the

meaning is very clear.

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the roads you are trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and debts are high,

when you want to smile but to have to sigh,

when care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest- if you must but don’t you quit,

Life is a queer with its twist and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about,

Don’t give up, the pace seems slow,

You might succeed with another blow,

folks don’t quite no matter what

Success is waiting not before the last”,

Make up your mind that you are never going to give up in whatsoever level things are sore. God has

bestowed all the strength to you to fight and conquer.

Have faith upon you.

God bless you all.

SMART WORK IS BETTER THAN HARD WORK!

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. He then hid himself and watched to see if anyone would

move the boulder out of the way. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked

around it.

Many people loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them did anything about getting the

stone out of the way. A peasant then came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the

peasant laid down his burden and tried to push the stone out of the road.

After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant went back to pick up his vegetables, he

noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been.

The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King explaining that the gold was for the person who removed

the boulder from the roadway.

Moral of the story:

Every obstacle we come across in life gives us an opportunity to improve our circumstances, and whilst the lazy

complain, the others are creating opportunities through their kind hearts, generosity, and willingness to get things don
