This program aimed to make new students well acquainted with the various departments and policies of the University. It started with a great interactive session by the Hon’ble President RNBGU Lt. General R.K Karwal, where he welcomed the new students to the university wishing them a great learning experience in the campus. Prof. Mahendra K. Ghadoliya, the Registrar, RNBGU spoke about the university policies, scheme of examinations and curriculum for the new session. Dean SOCM Prof. Chattar Singh focused on the significance of discipline in a student’s life. Senior professors of the university conducted sessions to enlighten the concepts like “success mantras”, “target & goal in life”, “difference between success & failure” and many more. Dr Manjoo Saraswat, Deputy Registrar discussed various topics like Anti Ragging Policy, ERP, and transportation. Freshers began to navigate the campus, learned about social and academic resources, received academic advice, got their queries answered, enrolled in classes, made new friends. Senior batches of RNBGU helped the new students get comfortable with the University campus and its environment. By the end of this five-day orientation program the freshers were all set to be a part of the University and to contribute towards the mutual growth. Independence Day Celebration RNB Global University celebrated 70 years of India’s Independence on 15 th August 2016. Mr. Jagdish Chandra Katil, CEO, ETV Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh, was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The ceremony began with the unfurling of our National Flag by the chief guest, followed by the National Anthem. In his address Mr. Katil paid homage to the martyrs of the freedom struggle of India, and emphasized on the heartfelt need of today, to refine and rebuild the national character. Various cultural performances, including marvelous dance, song and a patriotic musical skit was performed to represent the diverse cultural milieu of our nation. Orientation Programme

For the new entrants of academic session 2016-17 RNB Global University conducted a five-day long Orientation Programme (1-5 Aug 2016). Protection of Human Rights

A seminar on Protection of Human Rights was conducted on 13th August 2016 at RNB Global University by the School of Law. The seminar aimed to impart knowledge on the legal rights of human beings as per the Indian Laws to the university students. Prof. G. S. Karkara, Dean (SOL, RNBGU) & the keynote speaker talked about the significance of the Human Rights in a country. He elucidated the topic discussing several case studies, rules and incidents from various countries.

Starting-Up of a New Venture

Every business requires a great toil and tricks to be successful, and to teach the same School of Commerce and Management, RNBGU conducted a Seminar on Starting-Up of New Venture on 13 August 2016 for the students pursuing MBA and BBA. Among the speakers were Prof. A. K. Mitra and Mr. Rajiv Gupta (SOCM) who explicated various stages of a new venture starting from its registration, fieldwork, marketing, and procurement to till its operation. Queries of the students were also addressed at the end of the seminar.

Role & Importance of Manufacturing &

Production in Industry

Seminar on Role & Importance of Manufacturing & Production in Industry was conducted by School of Engineering & Technology, RNB Global University on 20th August 2016. Mr. Jeetendra Mohan Khare, Assistant Professor (SOET) highlighted the main content regarding process of converting raw materials, components into finished goods that meet with a customer's expectations or specifications. Various industrial analysis, comparative present and future data of manufacturing industries, advancements, international comparisons were addressed very well in the seminar. Videos clips of manufacturing and production were also included to make the presentation lively.

Role of Information Technology in Today's World

To deliberate on the current status of IT and its future prospects for the world a Seminar on Role of Information Technology in Today's World was organized by School of Basic and Applied Sciences, RNBGU on 13th August 2016. The objective of this seminar was to generate ideas through interaction and to impart more knowledge related to the IT world. Prof. Sanjoy Pal, SOBAS, RNBGU was the key speaker of the seminar.

Rich Dad Poor Dad: An Ironical Accounting Myth

School of Commerce and Management, RNBGU organized a seminar on the topic Rich Dad Poor Dad an Ironical Accounting Myth (Solid Business Proposal) on 20th August 2016. The key speaker of the seminar Mr. Kshitij Jangir, Assistant Prof. SOCM emphasized on the role of leadership in overcoming the challenges faced in running a business.

He highlighted on the present scenario where businesses are facing fierce competition, demanding customers, economic pressures, and financial crises. To be effective, they must reduce cost, improve product and service quality, and respond quickly to new opportunities in the marketplace. All this requires a good leadership, effective management and innovation.

Implementation of CSR in India

School of Law, RNBGU conducted a seminar on Implementation of CSR in India on 20th August 2016. Up to the last decade sustainability was not the main concern for the business companies seeking profits. But now time has changed and companies in India are adopting a new consciousness known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The speaker Prof. G.S Karkara, School of Law, RNBGU elucidated CSR strategies adopted by some of the renowned Indian corporations like Reliance, Tata Steel, Wipro, Infosys etc. He also stated some examples of CSR like safe working conditions for employees, environmental stewardship, and contributions to community groups and charities.

Session with RJ Rohit, 92.7 Big FM

To introduce the art of Radio Jockeying to the students, Information and Broadcasting Forum of RNB Global University conducted an interactive session with RJ Rohit from Big 92.7 FM on 27th August 2016. In this two-hour long session RJ Rohit spoke about his journey of being RJ and what is expected from RJ. He made students familiar with the advertising industry, various career prospects, growth in this industry and how a radio station works.

Friendly Cricket Match

At the beginning of the academic session 2016-2017 RNB Global University organized a cricket match which was played between two teams the seniors and the fresher’s.

It was very jovial and intriguing event where the fresher’s could interact with the senior’s rather informally. There was a lot of bantering between the two teams and the match was followed by the afternoon snacks. It also provided an excellent opportunity to the freshers to showcase their talent to the large audience. There was a big gathering of onlookers who cheered the players. It was a memorable day for all of us.

You will be surprised to know that creativity &

innovation thinking can be also taught through various

scientific and psychological training methods. It’s more

of an ability to keep human mind relaxed & focus on

solution of problem with different approach. At RNB

Global University all students & faculties are

encouraged to dream, think and be creative in their own

way. Following a defined path does not lead to any

change or innovation ever. The path or rulebook needs

to be broken in order to be more creative. Recently to

encourage more creativity a competition on Slogan

Writing & Greeting Card was held at RNBGU Campus.

Students from various courses i.e BBA, MBA, BA, B.Com,

BA + LLB, BBA + LLB, B.Tech etc participated in the

competition and created wonderful slogans & greeting

cards based on patriotism theme.
