Welcome to The Riley Dental Studio Guide to INVISALIGN!

Many of our patients (both adults and teens) often feel somewhat self-conscious about their smiles: especially when their teeth aren’t straight...

They ask what we can do about crooked smiles and sticking-out teeth or if we can help reduce gaps in their smiles, etc.

Almost everyone knows about traditional metal train track braces, but many people just aren’t willing to wear them for 1-2 years in order to get a smile they’re truly happy with.

So, people try to make do or put off treatment and many never get round to it. They often feel self-conscious about their smiles, and may avoid smiling or hide their smile in pictures for decades...

If you’re not completely happy with your smile, we can help (that’s what we’re here for!)

If you have teeth that aren’t straight or spaced correctly, we can sort that out for you quickly and discreetly.

In this free guide, you’ll find out about one of the most popular solutions we recommend to give our patients the smiles they’ve always wanted...

And the feedback we get is that these treatments have been life changing with many saying they wish they’d had them years sooner.

So, read on and find out how we might be able to help you. And if you have any questions, you know where we are!

Best wishes,

Team Riley

WHAT IS INVISALIGN?The orthodontic treatment we most often recommend has been used to successfully straighten over 6 million smiles across the world: Invisalign.Unlike traditional metal “train track” braces, Invisalign aligners are clear and fit over the teeth. They look something like a very thin, transparent tooth whitening tray.

Patients receive a series of aligners that gently guide the teeth into their desired position.

Invisalign is extremely popular because:

1. It can correct most issues adults and teenagers have with uneven teeth

2. The actual treatment is incredibly discreet: most people don’t even notice patients are wearing the almost-invisible aligners

3. You can take the aligners out – so there are no issues with eating particular foods, or cleaning that you find with traditional metal braces

4. The aligners are a lot more comfortable to wear than old-fashioned braces - where metal wires and brackets can chafe against the sensitive tissue inside the mouth.

STRAIGHT TEETH ARE GOOD FOR YOUAn ever-increasing number of people are opting for teeth straighten-ing treatments these days, but what are the reasons behind this trend?

It’s certainly true that the main reason people choose orthodontic treatments is because they want a straighter, more attractive smile - and the confidence that comes with it.

But there are important health reasons for a straighter smile, too...

When teeth are crooked, they’re more difficult to keep clean. Food particles can easily get stuck between them creating pockets of stagnation where harmful bacteria multiply and cause gum disease.

Poorly spaced teeth themselves also raise the probability of gum disease. This is because gums are at their healthiest when they fit snugly around evenly-spaced teeth.

Gum disease causes bacteria to enter the bloodstream where it can increase the chances of diabetes, stroke and heart disease, so it’s extremely important to maintain gum health.

Straight teeth are also harder to wear down and injure. Uneven teeth also cause increased pressure when eating and this can lead to neck/jaw pain and headaches.

Finally, consider the psychological and emotional benefits of having straighter teeth and a more attactive smile. Research shows that people who are happy with their smile use it more and this, in turn, results in improved social relationships and self-confidence.

What kinds of problems can crowded teeth cause?

Is Invisalign treatment right for you? For many people, the answer is “yes.” Whether you just want to love your smile a little more, you think you’ve got a particularly tough case, or you’re a teen and your teeth are still growing in, see what Invisalign treatment can do for you:
