Corporate Leadership PipelineWe treasure talents and are keen in their growth and development. That is why we have embarked on an integrated approach to manage people development e�orts in a cohesive manner. Our Corporate Leadership Pipeline starts with the graduate development programmes. Graduate Opportunities in MTR CorporationTo meet our business needs and to match individual pro�les and aspirations, we organise our graduate development programmes along two streams:

1 Corporate General Management - Graduate Trainee Programme

Leadership and Management Training throughout the Programme

From the 3rd year onwards, you will take up placement with senior supervisory responsibilities in a business function.

Programme participants with academic quali�cations recognised by the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (HKIE) may undergo HKlE accredited Scheme ‘A’ Training in pursuit of chartered engineer status.

1 Corporate General ManagementGraduate Trainee ProgrammeThe Graduate Trainee Programme is part of our Corporate Leadership Pipeline which aims at developing programme participants along the general management path under an accelerated 2-year programme. You will have intensive cross-functional job rotations in 3-4 core functions (with a typical duration of 6-9 months each) to gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience.

Job Rotation and Development Activities for Graduate Trainee You may have rotations in, but are not limited to, the following functions:

Operations, Projects, Property, China and International Business, Commercial and Marketing, Corporate A�airs

We are looking for :Final year students or recent graduates from engineering, transportation, business and related disciplines with excellent academic results and the following qualities:

Professional Expertise

We are recruiting fresh or recent graduates with excellent academic achievements in relevant disciplines into the following programmes:

You should also possess good analytical and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and high development potential.

Our graduate programme participants will have the opportunities to take part in customized development activities such as people and management skills training, conduct research and take up various project-based assignments under the mentorship of senior managers.

2.1 Graduate Engineer Programme Our Graduate Engineer programme is a HKIE accredited Scheme 'A' Training programme leading to the gaining of Chartership. It is a comprehensive and forward looking programme which provides you with an excellent opportunity to gain all round exposure in various engineering disciplines.

2.2 Property Associate ProgrammeThe Property Associate programme provides exposure to di�erent aspects of property functions through job rotations in di�erent departments in Property Division. You will be involved in conducting market researches and analysis of potential property development projects, assisting in the planning and management of property development projects, and the formulation and implementation of marketing and promotion strategies for properties managed by the Corporation. You will also take part in property management of premier residential and investment developments, and will be given project-based assignments under the guidance of senior managers who will act as mentors.

2.3 Inventory & Materials Management Associate Programme The Inventory & Materials Management Associate programme aims at accelerating development of graduates to professionals in the disciplines of inventory, materials and stores management.

The programme will provide you with on-the-job training opportunities within the Materials & Stores Department to gain dynamic exposure to the functions of Inventory Management, Stores Operation as well as Stores System, Accounting and Data Control.

2.4 Railway O�cer Trainee ProgrammeThe Railway O�cer Trainee programme provides graduates with a structured classroom and on-the-job training covering skills, knowledge and experience of railway operations. Participants will work in the Operations Control Centre to manage and plan train services in order to ensure safe and smooth railway operations, and to provide excellent customer services to the community. Under the guidance of experienced supervisors and managers, participants will obtain comprehensive knowledge of railway operations through a fast track approach by active participation in development activities and project-based assignments.

You should demonstrate that you are capable, customer-oriented with strong commitment in railway operations, and possess strong analytical skills and safety awareness in handling incidents.
