The English Bill of Rights
It was written in December 16, 1689
The English Bill of Rights lays down limits on the powers of the crown and it also sets out the rights of Parliament and rules for freedom of speech in Parliament. And it sets out the requirement for elections in Parliament.

The Enlightenment was a cultural movement of intellectuals in the 17th and 18th centuries. The reason they did that was to reform society away from dogmatism of all kinds and unfounded intolerance of all kinds.
