W INTER WONDER DAYS AT ROGER W ILLIAMS ZOO

Now - February 28, 2013 • Location: Roger Williams Park Zoo • Address: 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Providence, RI 02907 • Times: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. • Admission: - $7.50/adults, $4.95/children (ages 3 - 12), $6.50/seniors (ages 62+). Zoo members and children under 3 are always free.

• Phone: 401-785-3510 The Zoo is open year 'round. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, with last admission at 3:30 p.m. You can have a wonderful time exploring the "wild" winter wonderland with half-priced admission throughout February. A winter visit to the Zoo is a unique way to beat cabin fever, with cold-hardy animals like snow leopards, Sichuan takin, bison, and others more likely to be active, while indoor exhibits like Tropical America, Australasia, and the Textron Giraffe and Elephant Pavilion offer warm and exotic relief from the cold. Guests in need of a warm pick me up can find hot drinks and a warm winter menu at the Wilderness Café, located in Wilderness Plaza in the upper Zoo.

The management staff would like to send a special “Thank You!” to Concierge Jim Kanelos for working the night of February 10th during our last snowstorm. Jim kept Residents up to date on the latest weather updates and business closings during the storm, and spent the night in the tower to make sure it was staffed in case of an emergency. He is truly a wonderful Concierge!

Featured will be continuous chef demonstrations in the Rhode Island Kitchen and Bath Theatre Kitchen with celebrity chefs on stage including "Top Chef" Tiffani Faison; Sara Moulton of public television's "Sara's Weeknight Meals;" Nemo Bolin, chef-proprietor of Cook and Brown Public House in Providence, and Johnson and Wales University Chef Educators Frank Terranova, Neath Pal and Ciril Hitz. More wines from all over the world have been added including local wines. Tastings will be led by wine personalities such as Randy Arnold of sponsor Barefoot Wines and Bubbly.
