THE LVCU REPORT QUARTER 2 - 2017 “She has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much.” In Loving Memory of Carol Newhouse It is with great sadness that we inform you of the loss of our good friend, longtime LVCU Supervisory Committee Chairperson, and beloved member Carol Newhouse. Carol became a member of the Supervisory Committee in 2003, playing a vital role in the oversight of compliance and fiscal responsibility at the credit union while serving in her volunteer capacity. She will be remembered as a very active and involved community member while volunteering at multiple local organizations, and successfully running her own business in Sunnyside since 1986. We send our love and condolences to the Newhouse family and the many community members’ and loved ones’ lives which she touched throughout her meaningful life. We will miss Carol’s cheerful spirit, positive attitude, and her ongoing dedication as an advocate for those living within the Lower Valley. HAPPY RETIREMENT PHIL & KAREN! It’s now official, members living in the Yakima area no longer have to travel to Sunnyside to speak to a loan officer, deposit a check, make a payment, withdraw funds, or to simply ask a question. Yakima is now open and we are ready to serve our members in the surrounding communities. Our new location is located at 1112 E. Nob Hill Blvd., Suite 106 in Yakima, next to Fiesta Foods. The new branch has a 24/7 ITM machine conveniently located in an enclosed area next to the branch and our hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00-5:00 pm and Friday 9:00-6:00 pm. Stop in today! Two of LVCU’s longtime staff have officially retired! Karen has been with LVCU since 1994 starting as a Member Service Representative and finishing her career as our Title Clerk. Karen plans on spending her time outdoors, with her horses and in her garden. Phil started with LVCU in 1985 and has filled many positions here at LVCU ranging from Collections Manager, Loan officer, and ending his time with us as Prosser Branch Manager. Phil plans on taking fishing trips, and enjoying time with his young grandkids. Ahora es oficial, los socios que viven en el área de Yakima ya no tienen que viajar hasta Sunnyside para hablar con un oficial de préstamos, depositar un cheque, hacer un pago, retirar fondos o simplemente para hacer una pregunta. Yakima ya se encuentra abierta y estamos listos para servir a nuestros socios en las comunidades vecinas. Nuestra nueva localidad se encuentra 1112 E. Nob Hill Blvd., Suite 106 en Yakima, al lado de Fiesta Foods. La sucursal nueva tiene una máquina ITM de operación las 24 horas, los 7 días de la semana, convenientemente ubicada en un área cerrada cerca de la sucursal. El horario es de lunes a jueves de 9am a 5pm y los viernes de 9am a 6pm. ¡Pasa a visitarnos hoy mismo!
¡Dos de los empleados de hace mucho tiempo de LVCU se han jubilado oficialmente! Karen ha estado con LVCU desde 1994, comenzando como Representante de Servicio a Socios y terminando su carrera como nuestra Empleada de Títulos. Karen planea pasar su tiempo al aire libre, con sus caballos y su jardín. Phil comenzó con LVCU en 1985 y ha pasado por diversos puestos aquí en LVCU: Gerente de Colecciones, Oficial de Préstamos y terminando su tiempo con nosotros como el Gerente de la Sucursal de Prosser. Phil planea tomar viajes de pesca y disfrutar tiempo con sus pequeños nietos. Le deseamos a Karen y a Phil felicidad en este nuevo capítulo, ¡y estaremos por siempre agradecidos por tantos años de servicio al LVCU!
