    Defined as “...a person or household entering the venue to pray on their own and not as part of a group, led prayer or communal act. They should be socially distanced from other individuals or households.”

    Recognises● Spiritual and mental health benefits for people to pray in their place of worship● Patience of all faiths not being able to celebrate Easter, Passover, Ramadan/Eid &

    Vaisakhi● This is first step (expectation is end of year before fully open)

    Permitted● New guidance to be published shortly for limited re-opening

    ○ Safely & With social distancing guidelines - will include■ Thorough cleaning of shared spaces ■ Hand cleansing at entry and exit ■ Asking worshippers to bring their own items such as a prayer mat or religious text ■ No sharing or using communal items

    ● Current regulations still allow○ Funerals still allowed - safely, for close family○ Film or record a service for broadcast○ Hosting of essential voluntary activities such as

    ■ Homeless services (e.g. outreach Langar)■ For registered early years and childcare providers ■ For blood donation sessions

    ● Carry out a risk assessment & tailor guidance ○ Your discretion - if consider safe to open ○ Can remain closed or ○ Reopen at a slower pace
