It is amazing how 10 years have flown by. We hear that when we talk about how our kids have grown up, how our gardens blossomed and how our relationships strengthened over time. We look back at all the wonderful experiences that transpired over that first decade and dream a little of what new and exciting things will happen over the next 10 years. That’s exactly what is going on here at The Registry Collection® program. We’re celebrating 10 years of successfully sending members on dream vacations and we want you to celebrate with us.

Throughout the year, our regional offices will be rolling out unique ways to celebrate. Stay tuned for more information specific to your region. We’d love to hear from you about your favorite exchange vacation. We’ll pick a few to feature in our newsletters and other communication throughout the year.

I have been on the road visiting some of The Registry Collection properties and speaking with members about their experiences, desires and ways we can improve our service to you. At a recent visit to the Owners Club at Barton Creek HOA meeting in Austin, Texas, I had the pleasure of fielding questions and talking one on one with a dozen very active exchange members. What I heard in Austin echoed what members have been saying during my other visits: we love the program and our consultants. We’d love to see more inventory in Europe and an easier way to navigate the website. I’ll be making an announcement about our website shortly that will address member wishes – most likely before the next edition of The Registry Insider – so stay tuned.

I always love to hear about how well our reservation consultants assist our members – great customer service is the key to our success. As you’ll read in this edition of The Registry Insider, we’re happy to tell you about opportunities in Portugal, Croatia, Spain and Italy as well as in Dubai, Mexico and the US – many of which are brand new to our program.

Q&a’sQ: Whenever I call a Reservation Consultant to reserve a property, the property I want is not available for the date I want. How do I go about getting the vacation that I want?

A: Many of confirmations made through The Registry Collection® program are fulfilled through the “wait list” feature. During the process of booking limited-inventory properties during high-season weeks, The Registry Collection program wait list allows you to request your preferred property and time frame that you need. As soon as a week matching your request criteria is deposited, we will contact you and let you know. Our wait lists are satisfied basead on a “first come, first served” basis and can be requested up to a year in advance. Before you confirm an available vacation, you have 24 to 48 hours to discuss the hold with your traveling party.

TiPs FRoM ouR ReseRvaTion ConsulTanTsKeep your vacation—update your contact informationThe waitlist option is the most effective way to obtain your desired vacation request. When a requested vacation on the waitlist becomes available, members of The Registry Collection® program have 48 hours to confirm the vaca-tion. If you do not respond within that time, that property is released and automatically deleted from your waitlist. The best way to ensure that you are able to receive and confirm a vacation on the waitlist is to keep your contact information up-to-date.

To keep the lines of communication open, it’s a good idea to call your Reservation Consultant to check the main contact number that we have on file. Whether it’s a home phone or a cell phone, make sure it’s the best way for us to contact you. Also, if you travel frequently or maintain separate residences throughout the year, it is particu-larly important that you call your Reservation Consultant to update your main contact phone number as soon as it changes.

If one of your waitlists match and notification by telephone is not feasible or possible, we will contact you via email instead. In this case it is important to have a current and correct email address on file and that you are able to access your email at all times.

We want you to have the vacation of your dreams—keeping your contact information up to date will go a long way toward helping to make it happen!
