PROJECT OVERVIEWThe project was a remodel and addition to an old (circa 1977) hotel and casino in Las Vegas. The exterior scope consisted of in-place replacement and renovation of the existing structure and approximately 40,000 SF of StoPanel on the new structure.
The project required a non-drainage insulated exterior system, and StoPanel Classic was chosen as the most cost effective solution. Over 300 single-floor panels were developed. A combination of tower cranes and hydro cranes were used for the nighttime erection.
For years, insulated finish systems have been the go-to exterior enclosure for most projects along the Las Vegas strip due to their low cost and schedule effectiveness. Given the committed turnover date for this project and late steel, panelizing was the only and best solution.

PROJECT OVERVIEWThe Wynn Retail Plaza project was a 70,000 square foot expansion to the existing Wynn Resort. The new high end space consists of two levels of retail shops, cafes, and restaurants. Raymond’s scope of work on the project included framing, drywall, EIFS, GFRC, GFRG, FRP, paint, wallcovering, insulation, and fire-stopping.
Approximately 57,000 square feet of Sto Panel System was utilized.
With a compressed schedule due to material delays as well as site constraints, prefabricating panels offsite made it possible to complete the project on time and budget.
The Raymond Group is one of 21 companies nationwide which has earned the distinction of being a Sto Panel Technology Affiliate.
The combination of Sto, The Raymond Group, and the network of Affiliates, spanning 50 offices coast-to-coast is part of the systemized approach to prefabricated wall panels. Projects are completed easier and quicker when everyone is working with the same vision and using the same information. Raymond achieves this collaboration with the support of our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team. Raymond and our VDC team members are experts at facilitating projects through value engineering, providing complex Building Information Modeling (BIM) and proposing less expensive and more constructible alternatives.
The Raymond VDC team thrives on keeping the construction process as smart and simple as possible. By using building information modeling, different stakeholders on a project collaborate by adding, modifying, or updating information in a shared model, resulting in a digital representation of the physical and functional characteristics of the project. This digital representation then becomes a resource that is leveraged to make decisions, even after the building has been completed and occupied.
Raymond’s VDC department is made up of experienced team members with an average of 15 years of practical BIM experience. Raymond has an in-house structural engineer who closes the gap between intelligent and true detailing for modeling and clash detection. Our VDC department uses this in-house structural advice for quick and accurate solutions for complicated framing methods, helping to save time and money.
