The project aims to establish the ultrasonic technique as a monitoring tool for nano

1
The project aims to establish the ultrasonic technique as a monitoring tool for nano-suspensions. It will address the challenges of process monitoring for highly concentrated dispersions at the nanoscale, as well as other dispersed systems such as encapsulated particles. The approach will include mathematical development of scattering models, computational modelling, and experimental design and measurement. As part of the theoretical investigation, models of ultrasonic scattering in random inhomogeneous media will be investigated and implemented computationally, together with stochastic simulations of scattering. These modelling activities relate closely to experimental validation and interpretation of experimental measurement.
