After you complete the CPIM or CFPIM and if you want to maintain your certification, you must participate in the

APICS Certification Maintenance program. The requirements are to earn, in the next 5 years, 75 points for the CPIM

or 100 points for the CFPIM. A year before your Certification is up, you will be notified by APICS that you have a

year to recertify. They will send application deadline reminders and periodic program dates. If you don’t maintain

your certification status and do not recertify in the following 5 years past your suspension date; you will be required

to complete the full CPIM and/or CFPIM classes & tests. APICS has many ways for you to earn the points you will

need to keep your hard earned & time consuming APICS Certification. One way is that an APICS membership is

worth 6 points/year. Another is to attend the monthly local Chapter’s Professional Development Meetings (PDM);

they are worth 1 point/meeting with a maximum of 6 points/year. Attending the APICS Conference is worth 24

points/Conference. In closing, are you earning enough points to maintain your Certification? More information to

follow in the up coming Newsletters.

Is Your Time Almost Up?Do you know when your APICS Certification will be up?

Did you even remember that you have to recertify every 5 years?

Have you earned the points that are required to maintain your Certification?

Is it close?
