SUPERB GOLF

Slaley Hall is a golfer’s paradise. Both courses are of PGA standard and have played host to the European Tour on numerous occasions. The Hunting Course was designed by former Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas and is much loved for its spectacular tree lined fairways.

The Priestman Course is also designed to championship standard and the undulating fairways offer golfers fantastic views over the beautiful Tyne Valley.

GOLF ACADEMY

Tuition at Slaley Hall is brought to you by our head teaching PGA Professional Steve Fawcitt. Steve is dedicated to improving your golf game in a very friendly learning environment.

Lessons are given using our computer swing analysis system, GASP. The concept of GASP is to create an environment which the coach has all the tools at his disposal to make you understand the requirements needed to improve, with simplicity and minimal effort, whilst providing everything you need to analyse and compare all aspects of movement in your golf swing. It is classed as a quicker and easier way of learning, progressing you quicker, but also helping you to understand your own individual idiosyncrasies.

IndividualMembership at Slaley Hall is open for both gents and ladies and you have a choice of either the QFairway membership or the Slaley Country Club membership. By becoming a member you will receive a number of fantastic privileges and benefits including unlimited golf and a host of discounts on services and products such as retail, buggy hire and food and beverages. In addition to this we have recently introduced reciprocal playing rights at the other QHotel resorts, allowing you to play these great venues for FREE. Subject to terms and conditions. Custom FitIf you are looking to purchase a set of irons or woods we recommend a custom fit with one of our trained experts. The process allows us to take into consideration your height and build as well as your swing dynamics. This in turn will determine the club make-up such as loft, lie, length and shaft flex. RESIDENTIAL GOLF BREAK PACKAGES

Residential golf packages allow you to spend your days on the golf course and your evenings enjoying the comfortable surroundings of the hotel. After returning from the 18th, ease your muscles with a massage or unwind with a swim in the tropical pool before trying the delicious local menus available in The Restaurant or The Claret Jug. During Open Championships and other tournaments, Pros rarely play a shot without first checking their course guide. Every Strokesaver combines Trimble GPS and laser technology for the very best in mapping and distance data. All amateurs, like Pros, should want to know the layout of each hole and the exact pin position. To play this course like a Pro, we recommend you use this Strokesaver – Golf’s No.1 Course Guide.
