Why Is This So Important?

In an environment where direct-mail seminars are no longer effective due to low seminar attendance and pitiful response rates, coupled with soaring costs, advisors must find NEW and consistent ways to get in front of quality prospects every day. With the average cost for a basic seminar now exceeding over $300 PER HEAD, advisors must find a more effective and cost efficient way to gain access to quality, highly motivated prospects. The Potential

Each strategic CPA alliance represents approximately 300 quality prospects. An ideal prospect is a prospect in the age range of 40-75 who owns an IRA, 401(k) or other retirement plan. We have found that the average client has proximately $150,000 in IRA assets. That represents $45 million of new assets per CPA alliance. Advisor Qualifications

Financial advisors and CPAs alike are surprised at how quickly the advisory portion of a CPA’s practice can grow once the program has been fully launched. The appetite amongst consumers for financial services and safe products provided by their very own CPAs is ENORMOUS.

The “Perfect CPA”

America’s Tax Solutions™ initially targets tax professionals who already have the required licenses and registrations to sell financial products. In addition, we target smaller accounting firms who may be dissatisfied with their current broker-dealer. Many accounting firms we encounter have partnered with a generic broker-dealer that doesn’t focus on CPAs and, culturally, it’s not a great fit for those accounting firms. We look for firms that want to find the best fit for their business and their clients. We look for firms that haven’t been maximizing the financial services segment of their practices.

Although there is a greater interest in working with sole practitioners, America’s Tax Solutions™ is certainly open to work-ing with accounting firms that may have four to six partners. We focus on building relationships with small, independent accounting practices and CPAs. Our goal is to become “the” in-house financial advisor for these practices.

A sole practitioner CPA will typically have 300 to 500 clients that they actively work with. If they are able to leverage just 50% of their client base, that results in 150 to 250 clients that a financial advisor would typically not have access to or difficulty reaching.

Many advisors fear that a CPA will take all the training and coaching then terminate the business relationship so that they may take 100% of the sales. We found this fear to be totally unfounded as even the best of CPAs will not measure up to the average professional financial advisor.

Choosing the correct CPA can be a challenge and one which Table Bay Financial has perfected over the past decade. You must start with CPAs who have more of an outgoing personality than the typical accountant.
