Same Day ACH Phase 2: What you need to knowSame Day ACH Phase 1 was implemented last year, allowing deposits to be posted the same day they are originated.
Same Day ACH Phase 2 will be implemented on September 15, 2017 and allows withdrawals to be posted the same day they are originated.
If you authorize ACH transactions, here are the facts you need to know:
The date that an ACH posts is set by the company that originates it.
Beginning September 15, 2017, domestic ACH withdrawals (up to $25,000) may post throughout the day on the same day they are authorized by you.
If you have a preauthorized electronic payment, such as a recurring utility payment, there will most likely be no change to the payment posting date/time.
As a best practice, make sure you have sufficient funds in your account before you authorize or initiate a payment.
