Every part or member though different from one another, yet in connection with others, serves to accomplish much more together than otherwise.It is God’s body, the church in this world that is de-signed to fulfil the call to establish God’s Kingdom on this earth.

It turns out that even research demonstrates that being part of a community has incredible benefits, particularly in terms of assisting individuals in over-coming vices and bad habits. People who want to quit alcohol or lose weight are more likely to suc-ceed in their goals when they are part of a group with similar aims. Long established programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous for example can trace the success rates for their clients to their thera-peutic groups and accountability partners called sponsors. AA is still changing lives today.

Is it little wonder that God called the church to work together and coexist in a living and dynamic community. As the old saying goes; ‘A burden shared is a burden halved’. Once again this is demonstrated in the ‘two horse rule’: If one horse can pull 700 pounds and another horse can pull 800 pounds, how much weight will they pull yoked together? The answer may surprise you. The two-horse team will pull their own weight plus the weight of their interaction. There fore, yoked to-gether, the horses can pull 3000 pounds!”

There is power in community and together-ness!

Be a part of the Church today. Not just attending service once a week but be in-volved in community, to pray together, share experiences, burdens and encour-agements. If you’re struggling to gain the victory in your life, give your brothers and sisters in Christ a try in God’s Church. Join a Life group, Bible Study, youth, men’s, la-dies, prayer team today and live according to God’s design.

LIFEGROUPS

These are groups that meet on Wednesdays all across Sydney. Please see page 3 for more details about Life Groups and how to join one today. You will not want to miss out on these exciting new groups!

DISCIPLE MAKERS

As part of the vision and theme of the POS we are inviting members to become Disciple Makers. If you interested in being involved in teaching Bible Studies and discipling at least one person in 2016 please speak to Br Greg or one of our Greeters.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday school operates every Sunday morning following the wor-

ship service. We have classes that accommodate children from 4

to 12 years old. Classes are always fun and exciting so make sure

your children are getting the most out of the their visit to the

POS.

LIFE STUDIES

Life Studies are an enjoyable, non-threatening way to

learn more about the Bible. We can meet with you in your

home, our home, or a coffee shop. The studies are less

than an hour but have the power to change your life. Con-

tact one of our hosts if you would like to start a Life Study.

NEW LIFE JOURNEY

We invite you to join NLJ; a teaching program conducted on Sun-day mornings following worship. These classes will cover questions you may have about doctrine, why we worship the way we do, what God really has in store for your life and how God’s love for you can conquer all. These classes are very beneficial to your Christian walk, so take your first steps with Jesus today!

KINGDOM ELEVATED YOUTH

We understand that High School, Uni and Tafe are times of much change- Physical, Mental and even Spiritual. Whether you're the big man at school or the quiet one in the back of the class you have a place at Rewired Youth.

Come along to a dynamic service on Friday nights at 7:30pm - with skits, games and a message aimed right at you, we guarantee you'll have a great time.

Join us at The Pentecostals of Sydney as King-dom Elevated Youth presents UpRising Confer-ence 2016. This is going to be an incredible weekend of services with our guest speaker Michael Ensey from the United States. Bro Ensey is the National Youth President of the UPCI and has passionately ministered through-out the world. Come and be a part of a movement of young people who are rebelling against expectations of today's society and living out the destiny that God has for them!

Every year the ladies of the churches in NSW and ACT get together for a weekend away of fun, fellowship and spiritual growth. It is always a tremendous time for our ladies and you will not want to miss out! The Conference is $160 per person for the en-tire weekend. Guest Speaker: Sis Ginger Labat

Have you been thinking about being bap-tised? We would like to invite you to be a part of our special Baptism Sunday on the 14th of August. Being baptized is a major life event and we would like to celebrate this decision with you along with friends & family. Please see one of our greeters to receive more information and to sign-up today.

1. LIFE GROUP

These are groups that meet at church and across Sydney covering a

wide range of topics.

In Term 3, all of our groups will be discussing our purpose in a se-

ries called “What On Earth Am I Here For?” The groups will be

meeting for 9 weeks beginning on 20 July. Sign-ups for Term 3 will

be taking place throughout July.

This is a great way for you to learn and grow in many areas of your life, but also meet other members of the POS that you may not yet know.
