Thank You, Clark County!
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters and the Clark
County Community Foundation, Partners In Education was
able to raise $30,887.73 during the 2018 Good Giving
Challenge! This money will ensure that we can continue to
support our schools, staff and students for another school
year. Our staff could not be more grateful for this wonderful support from our
community and we will continue to strive to make a difference in our Clark County
Schools!
Thank You Kars4Kids

Clark County Child Development Center (C3DC) is excited to an-nounce the opening of our downtown location. Our mission at C3DC is to offer a unique experience like no other. At C3DC we provide the highest quality of care and education for young people while giving them the opportunity to experience extracurricular ac-tivities. Here at C3DC, our goal is to provide high quality compre-hensive early childhood services for children 6 weeks to 12 years that empower children to reach their full potential. Our role is to encourage and support each child in all areas of devel-opment, therefore creating a positive self-image and realistic opportunity for success by giving the youth of Clark County a safe positive environment. The center will offer enrichment activities such as Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). By offering these activities, children will become critical thinkers to aid in the advancement of their educational opportunities. Qualified staff will be working with your children in these endeavors. Our center wants to enrich our community with successful children. Our Center will:
Offer college tuition for all children enrolled in our program Offer a culinary program for children 4 through school age Harris Hoops Developmental classes Tumbling The Arts Technology
We are also proud to announce our partnership with Clark County Public Schools for Partners In Education. We are excited to join in the collaboration with CCPS and other community agencies in coming together to share a common vision, mission, goals and values to achieve success for all of Clark County’s children.
GEO Update The women employees from Amazon Customer Service started the Girls
Empowering Employment Program at Baker Intermediate School. Through
this program 2 employees visit a group of girls each week to discuss
different employment paths, what education is required, and what the
students need to do now to be reach those goals.
After the first successful semester the volunteers have been able to have a
huge impact on their students. Baker Assistant Principal Susan Jacobs
had this to say about one of the students involved, “Kamyra’s experience through GEO has impacted her in
many ways, not only in the classroom but in her personal life. Kamyra is more confident in her abilities to
focus in school and do well in her studies. She has become a positive role model for her peers and has
emerged as a leader in all areas of her life. I am proud to watch her grow as a person!”
Thank you Amazon volunteers for all you are doing for our female students!
BAM Success From September 18th through February 12th, a group of 25 men took time from their busy work schedules to spend 1 hour each month reading to boys at Baker Intermediate School. Approximately 22 boys volunteered to stay an hour after school to participate in this new program. Each week 4-5 men would share a hobby or life experience with them and then spend time reading with them. During the course of this new program each student was given 2 books to take home. These books were purchased with generous donations from the Baker FRC and Brian Thomas. This generous donation ensured that each of these boys had age appropriate books in their home.
Thanks to our wonderful volunteers we had a very successful first year. The boys looked forward to spending time with the men each week and were able to learn about career paths and the importance of reading. We look forward to an even bigger and better program next school year.
