COUNTRY WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION The SA CWA “Sharing And Caring With Action” The natural craziness of leading up to summerholidays and festive activities had our members andguests spend a day of chrissy spirit, fun & fare out oftown at the Poochera Hotel in mid December. The local bus spunked up with sparkling tinsel andchrissy decos was our sleigh for the day. With an incognito Santa taking control of the wheeland Santa’s little helpers in tow, forward bound we goto our next pit stop. What a sight for sore eyes as weneared the Ceduna turnoff with three incognitochrissy-adorned little helpers glistening in the sun andtheir bells jingling as they boarded the sleigh. Laughing at their stories of the tooting & hooting frompassing traffic whilst they waited for the sleigh, forward bound to our cave of delights where we werepresented with a quaint dining presentation yetnouvelle and delish cuisine. Adding to that was plenty of fun with chrissy raffles, rhymes, jokes, games, best chrissy outfit/accessory,secret santa and the traditional bob-bon challenge, our day could not have been any better. Thanks to Karen & crew of the Poochera Hotel formaking this day superb. Of course it was then backinto the sleigh and homeward bound. Hope all in our community and surrounds enjoyed theirfestive break and wish everyone continued safetravels during this period. Happy New Year. Our members enjoy a break during January andresume our catch ups in February 2020.

Reflective Landscapes and Circles

of the Seasons – Spring

Liz McTaggart and Jo Ankor

29th November – early January

Hosted by the wonderful Elliott’s Bakery and Cafe

30 Alfred Terrace, Streaky Bay

Reflective Landscapes draws on glimpses of our local familiar

landscapes. Building on Liz’s mosaic design work and extending into

acrylics and Jo’s thread painting, these interpretations reflect the

land, sea and sky of the beautiful local environment we live in, be it the

sand dunes, paddocks or different shades of native bushland.

Circles of the Seasons - Spring.

Living in a rural environment intimately immerses us in the comings and

goings of the seasons. These four pieces depict some of the delightful

elements of the circle of the season coming into Spring - the bright

green of new growth, the gold of the wheat, the busyness of the local

bird species, the cheekiness of the our local Willy Wagtails!
