It is with feelings of sadness as well as relief that I

inform you of the passing of Sheila Molnar, on the

evening of Wednesday May 27. Sheila had been

diagnosed with COVID-19 and seemingly

recovered only to have died three days after being

returned to her room. As many of you are aware,

Sheila had been inflicted with MS for a great many

years. This condition had worsened in recent years

trapping her in an uncomfortable physical and mental state. May she eternally rest

in our Lord's care. Please include her husband Bob and her family in your prayers.

Thanks to Anne for the dedicated care she extended to Sheila through her on-going

visitations, and she will continue to do so for Bob. Blessings, Heather

YARD SALE UPDATE We thank you for your contributions for the Yard Sale; however due to the current Covid-19 conditions this event has been cancelled for June 2020. Regrettably, at this time our storage space at the Church is now exhausted and we cannot except any additional donations until further notice. If at possible, please keep your items until collections can resume for our next Yard Sale (hopefully 2021). Thanks, Jeanette & Marg Pop Tins Unfortunately, due to space availability, Pop can collection has been put on hold! We would ask that if you still would like to donate tins, please hold at your residence until we are able to advise when this program is up and running again!! Thank you for your ongoing support! The Wardens Photo Directory Update An update on our parish photo directory. The company that is

producing the directory (IPC) is currently closed due to the

COVID-19 pandemic. We were hoping to receive our directory

this spring but it will more likely be sometime in the late fall.

Thank you for your patience and we will keep you updated!

2020 Vacation Bible School: UPDATE Please be advised that in consultation with Parish Council, it has been decided to cancel this year’s Vacation Bible School, which was scheduled to take place August 17-21. The health and wellbeing of the children and volunteers is vital. As well, Covid-19 rules regarding how a day camp might function are yet to be defined. In fact, day camps may not be permitted to open at all. We would like to thank everyone for stepping up to help with VBS 2020. This is a disappointing outcome but a time will come when we can restart our efforts to reach out again to the children of our community. “This too shall pass.” Blessings, Chuck

Parish Council: The 2020 Vestry Report has now been posted to

the website under Warden’s Page. Please contact a Council

Member if you have any questions and concerns to be addressed.

Wardens Financial Support - UPDATE:

Thank you for your continuing ongoing financial support. As you have heard, our

Churches are closed until at least September! And thus, we have had to make

some difficult decisions over the last few months as we have seen rentals and

rent deferred or cancelled due to Covid-19. Currently, the Wardens are working

with the Diocese and Government agencies to make our premises safe for all!

We are grateful for our Church Family’s commitment, Love, and endurance.

Even though we are not in our Church Home, we are all together in the Trinity of

the Father, Son and Holy Sprit. It is this Love that will surround us, always!

Our family of HTSSM is strong and we are faithful servants! Thanks be to God.

Blessings, Harry, Dave, Chuck, Beth

UNDIE SUNDAY UPDATE A great big thank you and hug from Beth

and I to our wonderful parish family. We

actually had 184 pairs of undies donated,

32 pairs of socks and 2 T-shirts. On

Tuesday, June 2nd Beth and I sorted

everything between the Chaplaincy and

C.C. Carrothers School. Anova had explained to Beth that they weren't accepting

soft materials during this time. The Chaplaincy received theirs today and the

school will receive theirs when they reopen (whenever that may be). Many

heartfelt thanks, stay safe, stay healthy and God Bless. Beth and Sharron ♡

It's Wedding Season and although there may not be many ceremonies happening right now it feels like a good time to celebrate those happy moments for so many of us! So, this week we created a spotlight on

Wedding Anniversaries. Here’s a few more precious pictures shared by you, our Parish family, that brings to light the years behind the dedication,

joy, and commitment that celebrates the sacrament of marriage.

Diocese of Huron committed to

social justice, equity, and anti-racism June 2, 2020

Statement from Rt. Rev. Dr. Todd Townshend, Bishop of Huron:

As part of our Baptismal Covenant, Anglicans promise to “strive for justice and peace

among all people and respect the dignity of every human being.” Keeping with this

covenant, the Diocese of Huron is committed to social justice, equity, and anti-racism.

We stand in solidarity with those across the United States, Canada, and the world who are

protesting racism, racial inequity, systemic oppression, police brutality, and state-

sanctioned violence against any human being. We specifically denounce the killing of

George Floyd and we offer our support and prayers for those who are protesting for

justice and for an end to police brutality.

We believe, as stated in A Charter for Racial Justice in the Anglican Church of Canada,

that “one of our strengths as a church lies in our diversity and in our commitment to

eliminate systemic and individual racism, whether intended or not.” Recognizing the

Anglican Church’s own history of complicity in racial oppression and injustice, especially

against Indigenous peoples and communities, we affirm our commitment to anti-racism,

to racial justice, and to working towards equity in our churches, our communities, our

country, and our world.

As we each reflect on our own role in systemic oppression, we repent of the sin of racism

and pray for truth, for justice, for reconciliation, for peace—for both those who are

oppressed and those who oppress.
