Palmetto State Providers Network (PSPN)

• A statewide broadband network reaching all 46 counties in South Carolina

• Created under an FCC Rural Health Care Pilot Program Grant

• Total funding approximately $9,500,000

• Designed and dedicated to support healthcare

PSPN Goals and Objectives

• Goal: “Improving the health and well being of the citizens of South Carolina”

• Objective: Connect large tertiary centers, academic medical centers, regional hospitals, rural hospitals, community health centers, and rural office-based practices over a broadband network for the delivery of health care throughout South Carolina.

• Objective: Support telemedicine, telehealth and Health Information Exchange state-wide 3
