Courtship The painted Turtle do engage in courtship to attract each other as the female releases olfactory signals for the males to smell and and be attracted to as the males will attempt impressing the female by extending or bobbin there necks and go far as even slightly biting the female to get there attention

InTerEsTiNg One interesting facts on painted turtles when on the verge to lay eggs are how they will be picky enough to travel more then 1300 feet around their area to find an area of there liking to lay there eggs
