SRU Rotary Lobe Pump PD 66342 US1 2001-07
Proven Performance and Reliability
ApplicationThe SRU range of rotary lobe pumps has been designedfor use on wide ranging applications within the Brewing,Dairy, Food, Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries. TheSRU pump can handle low to high viscosity media, issuitable for CIP (Cleaning In Place), and conforms to USA3A Sanitary Standard. The characteristic smooth, lowshear pumping action is ideal for products such as creams, gels, emulsions, aerated mixtures, delicate cells andorganic solids in suspension.
The SRU range is compact in size and highly efficient, capable of flow rates up to 466 gpm and pressures up to290 psi. The new improved modular design provides forgreater application flexibility and cost effective easymaintenance.
Standard DesignPump GearboxThe SRU pump with its conventional lobe pump designconcept has a robust cast iron gearbox, which providesmaximum shaft rigidity and easy oil seal replacement. TheSRU range in series 1-4 has a universal gearbox design. This gives the flexibility of mounting pumps with the inletand outlet ports in either a vertical or horizontal plane bychanging the foot position. The SRU range in series 5 & 6has dedicated gearbox castings, which also allows the inletand outlet ports to be in either the vertical or horizontalplane. A quality epoxy paint system is used on the gearboxexterior for optimum protection against natural and corro-sive elements.
Pumphead ConstructionThe SRU in standard specification has sanitary design fullbore inlet and outlet ports to International Standards, maximiz-ing inlet and outlet port efficiency and NPSH characteristics.Enlarged diameter and rectangular ports are also available tohandle very high viscosity products.
SRU Rotary Lobe Pump
The SRU in standard specification has tri-lobe rotors withthe option of bi-lobe rotors for handling fluids containinglarge delicate solids. All rotors are available in threetemperature ratings allowing the pump to be operated atmaximum process temperatures of 158°F, 266°F and 392°Ffor both fluid pumped and CIP.
