Everyone has returned with smiles after a sun filled holi- day period. The sun may have disappeared this week but the smiles are still there. That’s why Nowendoc Public is special. As Phoebe said recently, “We are the school of awesomeness”! I am determined that we will create a banner now. This catch phrase will adorn the front fence. Thank you, Phoebe! During the last week of term 1 we enjoyed a day with local artist and singer, Linda Lock- yer. Parker, Emily, Phoebe and Charlotte LOVED Linda’s songs. Percussion, dancing, singing and laughter filled this day. Linda, also kindly recorded our school song. Back in 2011, Mikayla Cartwright and Lissie Bourke used Home Among the Gum Trees as inspiration to write, School Among the Gum Trees. I am pleased to say that Now- endoc Public now has a school song. We hope you enjoy singing along at our next assembly. The last day of Term 1 was a day of celebration; a reward for being ‘awesome’ during the term. We hope you enjoy the photos of our little char- acters. Our open door policy contin- ues to attract visitors who are travelling through Nowendoc. During the last week of term and the first week of this term we had the pleasure of show- ing our school to two lovely couples, one from Queens- land and the other from Port Macquarie. Welcome back to Term 2!

Everyone has returned with smiles after a sun filled holi-day period. The sun may have disappeared this week but the smiles are still there. That’s why Nowendoc Public is special. As Phoebe said recently, “We are the school of awesomeness”!

I am determined that we will create a banner now. This catch phrase will adorn the front fence. Thank you, Phoebe!

Music Day with Linda Lockyer

On Tuesday, we did mu-sic with Linda. We also danced and I liked the

cise.

On the Weekend

On the weekend we woke up. Then we got dressed. Then we mustered the cows and we put them in the yards. Then we had to take the calves off their mums.

Phoebe, Yr 1

On the school weekend we went to soccer. I saw Sophie. She plays soccer too. It was fun.

After soccer I went to see Nick play soccer.

Then Blake, Nick and I went to Macca’s.

After lunch we went to Big W and mum and dad bought soccer nets.

Emily, Year 2

Charlotte, Kindy
