Curriculum. We have created a range of ambitiouscurriculum pathways for all groups oflearners, so as to facilitate outstandingprogress for every individual. GCSE, ALevel and vocational provision iscentred on maximising theachievement of every student. In Years7, 8 and 9 students are taught in setsin the vast majority of subjects, whichare then carried through into Years 10-13, where setting is particularly drivenby individualised curricula and learningpathways.

Curriculum subjects are groupedtogether intoLearningCommunitiesand eachDirector ofLearning leadsa team ofsubject leaders who in turn managetheir specialist teachers. The tutor ispivotal in monitoring the academicprogress of each student in their tutorgroup, with the Achievement andPastoral Manager responsible for theleadership and oversight of each yeargroup. Students develop excellentrelationships because the pastoralteam stays with their group across theKey Stages. A team of academicmentors work closely with teachingstaff to provide additional individualintervention support, thus helpingeach student to fulfil their academicpotential.

Religious Education is highly valuedand is an integral part of the schoolcurriculum for all students acrossevery year group leading to GCSEaccreditation, with Philosophy andEthics A Level offered in the SixthForm.

The PSHE and Citizenship programmeis delivered by a specialist team, through a de-timetabled programmeof focus days. They prepare ourstudents to be confident in taking anactive role as responsible citizens inour society today. Increasing numbers
