The Notebook

The book that I read was an amazing love story about a girl named: Allie Nelson. The guy that Falls in love with her his name is Noah Calhoun. They were in the time when World War 2 was happening. Noah ended up being introduced to Allie by a friend of his at a carnival. Noah fell in love with her when he met her and he kept on asking will you go out with me and he did something very crazy.

Allie went on the Farris wheel with the guy she went with at the carnival. Noah kept on trying to ask her if he can go on a date with her. Allie just kept saying NO. Noah just wouldn't give up so when she was on the Farris wheel he climbed it like a monkey and the Farris wheel stopped and he said I wont come down if you wont say Yes as he was struggling she finally said Yes I will! When he took one hand off the bar he said Thank you and so Allie stood him up and Noah saw her the next day and asked her Why didn't you show? Allie said I didn't say Yes, I said Maybe. Noah said if you just go on a date with me I wont bother you ever again. So she said Okay ill think about it.

Noah and Allie saw each other weekly and then daily until it became serious. Allie's parents didn't like Noah. They didn't like him because he was poor. They wanted Allie to marry a rich guy. In our time that would be considered sexist. Allie did not like the idea and she had to to tell Noah that she cant be with him and that she was moving. Noah ended up losing her.

Allie would always wait for the letters he promised to send her, but they never came. Thats what she thought. Allie was about to get married the man of her moms dreams. I'm saying that because all she ever wanted was to stay with Noah, but she couldn't because she was engaged to this guy that was a wealthy lawyer. Noah came in the town she lived in because he was trying to keep this house he grew up in and he was going to fix it up. Allie was reading in the Newspaper and saw Noah in front of a house.

Allie ended up getting in the car and drove to that house. Noah was surprised to see her. What Allie didn't know was that her Mom kept all the letters Noah had sent her and Allie could not believe it until she saw all the letters her mom gave her. Allie knew what she had to do so she went to Noah. Allie and Noah ended up getting married and having children and when that day happened when they were staying in a retirement home Allie had Alzheimer she forgot who Noah was and she forgot who her kids were. Noah one night decides to see if Allie could still remember him so she went one night and she screamed. All Noah wanted was Allie to remember him. So that night came where she remembered him and they ended up one morning lying in the same bed, and they had passed. Noah and Allie just wanted to be together and never leave each other because they loved each other very much since there eyes met at that carnival.
