This  month’s  nominee  is  

Alicia  Hamaker  

Alicia  has  been  in  choir  for  her  entire  high  school  career.    She  is   currently   an   officer   in  Singers   and   plays   a   crucial  role  in  planning  events  for  the  choirs.     Currently,   she   is  heading  up  the  committee   for  the  Show  Choir  Clinic  on  Nov.  2.    She  is  an  awesome  addition  to  our  department!

MASS  BAND  NIGHT:    Almost  600  band  students,  from  grades  6-­‐12   participated   in   the   15th   annual   Mass   Band   Night   at   Hare  Chevrolet  Field  on  September  13,  2013.    Special  thanks  to  Mike  Hasch  and  all  of  his  staff  and  volunteers  for  their  flexibility  and  hospitality   extended   to   the   band  parents   and   students   on   this  big   night.   Also   thanks   to   Stacey   White   (NWMS)   &   Betheny  Hanlin  (NEMS)  for  bringing  the  biggest  6-­‐8th  grade  groups  Hare  Chevy   Field   has   ever   seen!   Congratulations   to   all   the   band  students  for  their  hard  work  and  for  a  great  half  time  show!        

Band News

Congratulations   to   the   Marching  Millers   on   their   Gold   Rating   at   the  ISSMA   Summer   Show   Case.    The  Marching  Millers  were   one   of   2   out  of   the   13   groups   that   received  special   commendations   (with  distinction)   for   their   music   and  visual   performance.    Look   for   the  Marching   Millers’   new   half   time  performance   at   the  Oct.4th  football  game.    They  will  be  doing  a  very  cool  animation   that   you  will   not  want   to  miss.
