Page 2: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Welcome back to the Night Legacy! Last time, the first of generation three was born! We found

out Drusilla was Bruges daughter, Cel and Max had a son named Lestat, and they started to

mend their relationship.

This chapter starts with a familiar painting.

Page 3: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Jess is not impressed.

“I suppose I just don’t understand art. Oh, well. Those priceless originals earned me a pretty

penny in the good ol’ days.”

Page 4: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Meanwhile, Cel and Dru are bonding.

“I love you, little Dru.”

“*giggle*”

Page 5: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

It also happens to be Dru’s birthday! And Lestat’s! Sims aging is weird.

Page 6: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Celestia brings Drusilla to the cake while Max handles baby Lestat.

Page 7: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Uh, Max? Could you move? You’re kind of blocking Drusilla.

...

Max?

Page 8: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Oh, well. Time for the sparkles!

Page 9: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

No sparkles, but there’s a hand!

Dru grew up pretty nicely. I think I’ll keep her dress. It suits her. How do you feel, Dru?

“My hand is bigger!”

Yes. Yes, it is.

Page 10: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Time for Lestat!

Page 11: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Endanger that baby’s life and let’s see what we’ve got!

Jess approves.

Page 12: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

WHOA! Look at that hair! How did he go from bald to Rapunzel in mere seconds?!

Also, Cel, what are you doing with that cake?

“Well, someone has to clean it up!”

But you haven’t even eaten any!

Page 13: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Well, at least Dru got some.

“I couldn’t let birthday cake go to waste!”

Good for you, kiddo.

Page 14: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Anyway! Here’s Lestat with a makeover. I gave him kind of long hair, but still short enough to

be believable. He’s not old enough to be Legolas. He looks a bit snakelike.

What’s wrong with you, Max?

“I wanted a slice of that cake.”

We all did, Max. We all did.

Page 15: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

I wanted one more baby, so I had Cel and Max hop to it. I love how Cel’s sparkles just go

through the blanket.

Page 16: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Despite blocking her in her birthday picture, Max actually gets along great with Drusilla. He

genuinely treats her as his own. Ignore the fact that they’re talking while he’s in his underwear.

Sims have no shame.

Page 17: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

He’s also a great dad to Lestat. Here he is, trying to teach him to talk.

“Say ‘dada.’”

“Die.”

“Dada.”

“Die, die.”

Uh...maybe he just likes German.

Page 18: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

And Celestia’s pregnant! I’m sure Max will be a great dad to this little one as well.

“Ugh, please, tell me this is the last one.”

It’s the last one. I just want a third. I have plans.

Page 19: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“It’s okay, Lestat. Daddy loves you.”

Did I mention Max is a good dad? Max is a good dad.

Page 20: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Did you get a good grade, Dru?

“Really good! I can’t wait to show Mommy!”

That’s great! But I have to wonder...What kind of school gives out daily report cards? I only got

mine maybe two or three times a semester!

Page 21: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Yay! Baby bump!

“Last time?”

Last time.

Page 22: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Celestia cuddled up to Max as they went to sleep. Max let her. They’re getting better. Baby

steps.

Page 23: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

In other news, hi, Orion! I don’t remember inviting you over.

“Oh, I was just in the neighborhood and thought I’d drop in.”

I see. I can’t see this becoming a habit.

Page 24: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Hey, Orion! Haven’t seen you since the wedding! Did Celestia invite you?”

“No, I just kind of walked in.”

“Oh.”

“...”

“...”

...

Page 25: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Isn’t it cool that we’re named after vampires, Uncle Orion? Wouldn’t it be even cooler if I

named my kids after the moon?”

“Nope! Not listening! You having kids will mean I’ll be old!”

“But, Uncle Orion!”

“LALALALALALA...”

Page 26: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Hey! We’re still part of this legacy! Rock on, readers! Let’s party!”

“Jessica, sit down.”

“...Yes, dear.”

Page 27: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“How are you, Celestia? How is the baby?”

“We’re both fine, Max. In fact...”

Page 28: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I’m almost certain the baby can hardly wait to be born.”

Page 29: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“That’s wonderful.”

Page 30: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Uncle Orion, I’m sorry I made you mad earlier.”

“No, no, I’m sorry, sweetie. I overreacted.”

Page 31: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Can we be friends?”

“Of course we can, sweetie. Of course we can.”

Page 32: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“It’s so good to see you, son. Don’t be a stranger.”

“I won’t, Mom.”

“But do knock first.”

“No promises.”

Page 33: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

And now, let’s take a moment to look at Drusilla. Isn’t she adorable?

“Author, can I move now?”

In a minute, sweetie.

Page 34: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

How’s that baby coming along, Cel?

“It should be here soon.”

Good. *plotting fingers* Can’t wait.

“What was that?”

*hides her hands* Nothing.

Page 35: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Time for Lestat’s birthday!

Page 36: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Everyone’s here! Let’s see how he looks!

Page 37: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Wow, I’m bigger!”

“Why did I come to my coworker’s kid’s birthday again?”

Page 38: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Lestat’s a pretty cute kid. I can see both of his parents in him.

“Look, I can clap my hands together!”

He’s still getting used to the change.

Page 39: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Here, Lestat, I’ll show you a game you can make from clapping hands.”

“Cool!”

Page 40: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Just think, Max. Soon, we’ll have three.”

“I’m looking forward to it.”

Page 41: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Flower arranging, Cel? Really?

“I thought it would be nice to have some snapdragons in the house.”

That’s a good point. Carry on.

Page 42: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Uh-oh.”

Page 43: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“MAX! MAMA! SOMEBODY, HELP!”

Page 44: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Now, that wasn’t so bad, was it?

“Last...one...!”

Last one.

Page 45: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Meet Marceline Night, named after the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time! She has her

father’s skintone and eyes, but her mother’s hair. She’s the last child of generation 3.

Page 46: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Woo-hoo! Another grandchild!”

“Yay, a sister!”

“Phew, I’m done.”

Page 47: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“To get to the other side!”

“Haha! That’s funny, Daddy! Makes me forget all about the birth I just witnessed! Hahaha...”

Page 48: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“...hahaha...”

Page 49: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“...hahaha!”

It will haunt your nightmares. You’re welcome.

Page 50: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Oh, hey, Tom! Haven’t seen much of you!

“Must feed baby!”

Might be because I’ve found I don’t like servos.

Page 51: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Dru brought home her cousin Lex from school.

Page 52: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

And Lestat brought home cousin Clark. They’re Regulus’s kids, if you’ll remember. Given Cel

and Reg’s relationship, it’ll probably be the first and last time.

Page 53: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Mommy, I got an A+! Look! Look!”

“*snores*”

Or maybe she won’t even notice.

Page 54: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Time must fly because it’s time for Marcy’s first birthday! Let’s see what we’ve got!

Page 55: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Once again endanger an infant’s life and...

Page 56: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Oh, wow, she’s a cutie. I think I’ll change her hair to something different, but she’s definitely

cute. So far, she’s a mix of her parents too.

Hey, I think I hear the phone ringing...

Page 57: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Who could be calling this late?”

Page 58: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Hello? Oh, Romi, hi! We were just in the middle of Marceline’s birthday! She’s my youngest—

Page 59: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Romi, slow down! No, Louis’s not here. Is everything alright?”

Page 60: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“...I’ll be right over.”

Page 61: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7
Page 62: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I came as soon as I could.”

“Thanks. I appreciate it.”

Page 63: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“You look awful, Romi.”

“I’ve been better.”

“What’s going on?”

Page 64: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Louis’s missing and so is Bruges.”

Page 65: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“What?”

“Exactly what I said. My son and Bruges are missing.”

Page 66: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I...I don’t understand...”

“My dear, maybe she should hear the whole story.”

“I agree. Cel, have a seat.”

Page 67: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I’ll start from the beginning. A while back, Bruges came home after visiting you.”

Page 68: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“He was pretty torn up.”

Page 69: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Hey, Bruges, where’ve you been?”

“I went to visit Celestia. She’s been named her family’s heir.”

“You okay?”

Page 70: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“No.”

Page 71: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I was worried about him. He was pretty beaten up. But for a while after that, everything was

normal. He continued to do his job.”

Page 72: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“The kids were fine. Louis grew into a teenager.”

Page 73: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“And he and Bruges seemed to be good friends.”

Page 74: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“But one night, after we woke up, Alan went to check on the children.”

Page 75: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Claudia’s sleeping peacefully, but Louis is gone.”

“What?”

“He’s not in bed. It looks like it hasn’t even been used tonight.”

Page 76: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“That doesn’t make any sense. Bruges knows to have them back by nightfall.”

“Well, Louis is a teenager now. Perhaps they feel they can get away with a few extra hours out.”

Page 77: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“But I told him specifically that I don’t like the kids to be out after nightfall, no matter what age.

This is suspicious. I don’t trust it.”

Page 78: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“My dear, calm down. They could be on their way back. We’ll wait an extra hour.”

Page 79: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I’m gonna tear Bruges a new one.”

Page 80: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“So, we waited, but the hour came and went. By then, I was terrified. Bruges, if anything, was

usually punctual.”

Page 81: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“So, we went out looking. I went one way, Alan went another.”

Page 82: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“If we could still feel our lungs, we’d be gasping by the time we got back to the house. We

shouted as loud as we could.”

Page 83: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“But we had no luck.”

Page 84: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“So, we went to confront Barcelona. If anyone could tell us where they were, it was her.”

Page 85: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“You have ten seconds to tell me where my son is.”

Page 86: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Ah, I wondered when you two would show up. I’ve been waiting for hours.”

“Where. Is. My. Son?”

“Louis is fine. He is with Bruges and they are both unharmed.”

“How can you be sure?”

“Because if that were not the case, I would not be talking with you now.”

Page 87: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Okay, but where are they? Why haven’t they come home?”

“I can’t tell you.”

“What? Why not?”

“It is set.”

Page 88: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Bah! This is ridiculous!”

“Your husband has never been one for patience, has he?”

“Alan and I won’t just sit here while our son is missing!”

Page 89: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Too right! Perhaps your book will have some answers!”

Page 90: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I wouldn’t touch that if I were you, Count.”

Page 91: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“AIYEE!”

Page 92: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Damn witch!”

Page 93: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“As I said, your son is fine. When the time comes, you will be reunited. Now, please, leave me in

peace.”

Page 94: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“You better be telling the truth, Barcelona, or Plumbob help me, I’ll—”

“I have told you all that I could. Now, do as I say and leave me in peace.”

“Hmph. Come, my dear. Let’s leave and continue our search.”

Page 95: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“So, we did, but so far, we haven’t had much luck.”

“This is terrible...”

“Has Bruges contacted you at all?”

Page 96: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“No. I haven’t seen him since the night we said goodbye.”

“I see. What all did he tell you that night?”

“That he loved me, even though his sister sent him to spy on my family.”

“That’s all? Ha, the bastard...”

Page 97: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“And what is that supposed to mean?”

“Trust me, Cel, what happened between you and Bruges was for the best. You’re better off

without him.”

Page 98: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“You have no idea what happened between us!”

“I know that I know him better than you. He wasn’t what you think he was.”

“I know that he loved me!”

“I never said he didn’t.”

“So, what are you saying?!”

“That he was no knight in shining armor.”

“I never said he was!”

Page 99: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Temper, temper! How am I supposed to get any reading done with all this yelling?”

Page 100: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Oh, great. You.”

Page 101: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Celestia! So lovely to see you!”

“Hello, Barcelona.”

Page 102: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Well, as I’m sure Romi has told you, Bruges and Louis have gone away for a while, but don’t

fret! For the time being, they are unharmed.”

“What do you mean ‘for the time being’?”

“Yes, witch, what do you mean by that? You told Romi and I that Louis would return!”

Page 103: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I said you would be reunited. I didn’t say there wouldn’t be a few scrapes along the way. But

don’t worry, Louis will return alive and in one piece.”

“Why you little...!”

Page 104: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I think I’ve heard enough.”

Page 105: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Romi, I’ll call you if I hear anything.”

“Thanks, Cel. I appreciate the help.”

Page 106: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“I hope they return soon. Call me if anything comes up. Goodbye.”

Page 107: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7
Page 108: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“Romi.”

Page 109: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“You should eat.”

“Trying to dictate when I eat now?”

Page 110: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“No need to be so defensive. I know you haven’t been eating since Louis went missing. Starving

yourself won’t bring him back and could have terrible consequences.”

“Why don’t you take that ‘concern’ of yours and shove it up your—”

“My dear, as much as I can’t stand her, I think she’s right in this case. You need to eat.”

Page 111: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

“*sigh* Fine.”

Page 112: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

Louis, wherever you are, I hope you’re safe.

Page 113: The Night Legacy: Chapter 7

And that’s the end of chapter 7! Sorry it took so long! The last bit of this chapter took me a little

more time to put together!

What happened to Bruges and Louis? Where have they gone? What does Barcelona know? And

more importantly, now that there’s two girls, who will be heir?! ...What?

Tune in next time for the next chapter of the Night Legacy! See ya then!
