A NEW SERIES OF PUBLICATIONS ON PAPUA NEW GUINEA'S ECONOMIC HISTORY
The History Department of the University of Papua New Guinea has recently established a new series of publications:
O C C A S I O N A L P A P E R S I N E C O N O M I C H I S T O R Y
The series deals with the economic history of Papua New Guinea and related matters. Its purpose is to encourage research into Papua New Guinea's economic history, to facilitate the dissemination of relevant research find-ings, and to provide additional materials for the teaching of economic history at universities in Papua New Guinea and elsewhere. The editor would welcome manuscripts which might be suitable for publication in the series, up to a maximum length of about 20,000 words. Two papers have been published to date: Paper No. 1: C. O'Faircheallaigh, 'Mining in the Papua New Guinea Economy, 1880—1980' (Price K0.40 in PNG, KO.75 or $1.00 in Australia). Paper No. 2: M. Hess, 'A History of the Milne Bay District Workers' Association' (Price KO.75 in PNG, K1.20 or $1.50 in Australia). (Australian prices include air mail postage).
