The new ŠKODA Yeti is the perfectcombination of stylish design andoutstanding practicality. The new Yeti is for the first time available in two

distinct styles. Each has it's own 'face', designed inthe spirit of ŠKODA's new design language.

The Yeti looks sporty and sleek, with it's bumpers,side sills and mouldings all in body colour. Incontrast, the Yeti Outdoor is visibly more rugged andready for off-roading; it's strong presence a result ofit's newly designed front and rear bumpers and blackbody-styling.

The Yeti is defined by it's combination of strikingdesign and uncompromising functionality. It's boldand sophisticated new look, with sharp angles andclean lines, newly-designed headlights and the newŠKODA logo, all hint at the Yeti's remarkable on andoff-road capabilities.

Striking and dynamic

LED rear lights. The new rear light clusters,featuring two rear bands of light in thecharacteristic ŠKODA 'C' shape, can beenhanced with LED technology. Standard onLaurin & Klement.

LED daytime running lights. LED technology is moreefficient when it comes to energy consumption andalso provides higher durability. The LED stripelegantly complements the bi-xenon headlightdesign. Standard on Elegance and Laurin & Klement.

Bi-xenon headlights with AFS. Bi-xenon headlights provide2.5 times the illumination of standard halogen lights, and theoptimal illumination is further enhanced by the adaptive frontlight system (AFS) which adapts the light settings based onthe car's speed and the weather conditions. Standard onElegance and Laurin & Klement.

Panoramic sunroof. Standard on Laurin & Klementand optional on SE and Elegance. The electrically-operated panoramic sunroof consists of two parts:the front section tilts to provide ventilation but alsoslides backwards over the rear section, providingfresh air, light and a feeling of vast space.

Door mirrors. Electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors arestandard and come in body colour on Yeti and in matt silver on YetiOutdoor. Functionality is further enhanced as electrically folding doormirrors with boarding spots are standard on Elegance, and Laurin &Klement includes auto-dimming function in the driver's door mirror too.

Roof rails. Both Yeti and Yeti Outdoor come with black roof rails asstandard, but these can be upgraded to silver roof rails on Yeti andpart-silver roof rails on Yeti Outdoor for a more stylish look.

Varioflex. The Varioflex system provides Yeti with an extremely flexible and functional array of seat positions. There are over 20 different seating combinations, the main functions are as follows:

3 spoke leather multi-function steering wheel. Standard across therange, the sporty 3 spoke leather multi-function steering wheel feelsluxurious to the touch and also allows the driver complete control overradio and telephone functions.

High quality interior. The inside of the Yeti is just as strikingas the outside, and can be further personalised with a choice

of upholsteries, colours and inserts. Inside the new Yetithere's also a vast amount of space for both passengers and

luggage. The Yeti has a generous 416 litres of usable bootspace, which can be increased to a massive 1,760 litres when

the Varioflex system is utilised and the rear seats areremoved entirely.

Uncompromising comfort

Air conditioning.Manual air conditioningcomes as standard on S,but on SE is upgraded todual-zone airconditioning withhumidity sensor andcontrol, perfect for maintaining theoptimum interiortemperature at all times.

Please note there are some key differences between the Yeti and Roomster Varioflex seats: the middle seat on Yeti is 35mm longer thanthat of Roomster, and when the centre seat is removed, the outer seats slide 80mm towards the centre on Yeti (Roomster slides 110mm)

Modern technologies not only maketravelling more pleasant but increase the

ease of handling the vehicle.

The Columbus navigation system withDAB is standard on Laurin & Klement and

available as an option on SE and Elegance.It features a 6.5" colour display with touch-screen, voice control function and includes

a 30GB hard drive, 20GB of which can beused to store music. Up to 10 navigation

routes can be stored in it's memory, and themap data contains points of interest,

information about which can be displayed ifselected by the driver.

The recommendedgear shift functionis displayed in the

top right cornerof Maxi DOT.

In vehicles equipped with the optional KESSY(Keyless Entry, Start andexit system) the driver canlock and unlock the car aswell as start and stop theengine without having toinsert or even handle thecar key.

The Bolero radio which is standard from SE has multitude of functions, such as a reader for SD or MMC data cards, the ability to play CDs as well as files in MP3 and WMAformats and memory for radio traffic reports (TIM).

For the first time on ŠKODA range, a rear-view parkingcamera is available as an option on the new Yeti. The camerais positioned on the tailgate handle and provides a visual ofwhat is behind the car, in order to make any parkingmanoeuvre effortless.

Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG), availablein both 6-speed and 7-speed versions,guarantees smooth and rapid gearshifts resulting in maximum utilisationof the potential of the engine’s torque.

The optional 12 speaker 'Soundsystem' with adigital equaliser and 12 speakers provides excellentsound reproduction for an enhanced acousticexperience.

Maxi-DOT comes as standardacross the Yeti range. Maxi-DOT,with it's larger display, details fuelconsumption, average speed anddistance until the fuel tank isempty, and also has the ability todisplay phone, audio andnavigation data too.

Park assist is standard on Laurin & Klement and optionalon SE and Elegance. Parallel parking and bay parking inthe Yeti is now easier than ever thanks to a the latestgeneration of ŠKODA's award winning Park assist.

With a press of a button, the system will begin searchingfor a parking space in a line of cars or obstacles. When asuitable space is found (the car's length + 60 cm is all thespace needed), the car will steer itself into the spacewhilst the driver controls the pedals. The system will nowalso steer the car out of a line of cars from its parkingspace and with two presses of the same button, the carwill search for and manoeuvre into a bay parking space.

knee area. Foradditional protectionrear side airbags can

Smart protectionDriver fatigue sensor, available asan option across the Yeti range,monitors the movement of the driverthrough the steering wheel and if itdetects signs of tiredness, audiblyalerts the driver and shows a breakrecommendation alert on the Max-DOT display.

ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is standard and delivers a numberof systems designed to helpmaintain the car's stability inbraking and emergencysituations. See the technicalglossary for further details.

Hill-hold control applies pressure on the braking system for a further 1 or 2 seconds after the driver releasesthe brake pedal (when the hill gradient is more than 5%). This allows the driver enough time to move awaywithout rolling. Hill-hold control is standard on Elegance and Laurin & Klement and optional on S and SE.

The optional tyre pressuremonitor will highlight any loss inpressure of the tyres to the driverimmediately, as a decrease inpressure could radically changethe car's behaviour and drivability,potentially causing an accident.

The two outer rear seats in allYeti models feature ISOFIX asstandard. The ISOFIX bracketscreate a fixed link between a childseat and the car's chassis, whichis important for ensuring the seatis effectively secured in the eventof a collision. ISOFIX can bespecified on the front passengerseat too.

Low rolling resistance tyres. Yeti GreenLine II has 16" Dolomitealloys, whilst Yeti Outdoor GreenLine II comes with 16" Nevis alloys asstandard. These lighter alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyreshave a higher prescribed air pressure to reduce friction.

The Start-Stop system automaticallyswitches off the engine, for examplewhile waiting at the traffic lights.By pressing the clutch pedal the engine automatically restarts.

Energy recovery functionality, furtherassists this by enabling effective use of thecar’s kinetic energy for battery recharging.

ŠKODA Green Future forms an integral part of our corporate philosophy. This is reflected in our efforts to keep reducing fuel consumption and consequently CO2 emissions and no more so than as displayed by our GreenLine models.

The Yeti GreenLine II has a lower chassis as well as other modifications to enhance efficiency. Powered by the 1.6 TDI CR 105PS DPF it achieves a combined consumption of 61.4 mpg and a CO2 emission level of 119 g/km.

For those needing a sturdy and versatile car that can handle outdoor living with ease, the 4x4 Yeti Outdoor is foryou. With one of the latest 4x4 systems and some very clevertechnology, Yeti Outdoor handles most off road situations,slippery roads or rough ground.

Off-road button*. By pushing the off road button, Yeti Outdoorhelps maintain control when the driving conditions get tough. It will maintain a constant speed downhill on a steep slope(over 8%), maintain traction going uphill and stop over revvingof the engine, hold the car still on a hill start and help preventthe wheels from spinning on loose surfaces or wet, slipperyroads.

4x4 system. The latest generation 4x4 system helps youmaintain control and stability at all times. The system senseswhat is happening on each wheel and quickly transfers poweror automatically applies brakes when needed to give more gripor drive to keep you on your chosen path.

Rough road package. The optional rough road packagecomprises of:-

> A thermoplastic cover for the engine and transmission> A plastic cover for the fuel and brake lines> Reinforced brake fluid distribution system and

hand-brake cable

The vehicles ground clearance is not affected by theinstallation of this package and remains at 180mm.

Uphill start assist.

ABS: the anti-lock braking systemprevents the wheels from lockingduring heavy or emergency braking,enabling the vehicle to remainsteerable. When braking, wheel speedsensors measure the road wheel speedand should one or more wheels start tolock the system reduces brake pressureto that wheel.

Elements of the ABS System :-• Dual Rate Vacuum Brake Boosters:

increases brake effort underemergency braking conditions.

• EBC: Electronic brake control. The engine brake torque controlregulates the power supply byintervening with the enginemanagement system.

• EBD (aka EBV): Electronic BrakeDistribution automaticallydistributes different pressures tothe front and rear brakes to stop the rear wheels from locking upunder heavy braking. It alsocompensates for loaded andunloaded vehicles therefore doingaway with the need for a LoadSensing Valve on the rear axle.

• MBA Mechanical brake assist uses amechanical device inside the brakeservo. If the brake pedal is pressedrapidly , it activates the mechanicaldevice to give maximum brakingpressure to the wheels, even if thedriver is not pressing the brakepedal particularly hard.

CAN Bus: the CAN Bus is anelectronic data bus which links thevarious different electronic controlsystems in the car. It ensures ideal co-ordination between systems andreduces the amount of wiring neededin the car.

Fuel cut-out: should one or more of the airbags inflate after anaccident, this system automaticallycuts out the fuel supply, thuspreventing subsequent leakage of the diesel or petrol.

Trip Computer: the trip computer notonly features an impressive range ofdata displays, operating it is simplicityitself. A multifunction touch keyenables you to call up all relevantdata on the easy-to-read display.Features include externaltemperature, time, current fuelconsumption, average fuelconsumption, miles driven andaverage speed.

CR: the completely new range ofdiesel engines are built on a systemof Common-Rail fuel injection. Thediesel engines have a high-pressurecommon rail direct injection fuelsystem and four-valve technology. As a result, the new engines aremuch quieter, more refined in theiroperation and consume less fuel,compared to the Pump Duse enginesand significantly reduce emissions.

DPF: diesel particulate filter is part ofthe exhaust system responsible forcleaning the engine exhaust gasesbefore they enter the atmosphere.The DPF catches soot particlesemitted in the exhaust gas and itworks in conjunction with thecatalytic converter, which reduces the amount of harmful gases enteringthe atmosphere. The DPF mustperiodically be emptied of the sootparticles, a process known asregeneration. This involves elevatedexhaust system temperatures. A driving style is required duringregeneration, where a constantvehicle speed above 37 mph must bemaintained. This does not always suitcustomers who make frequent shortjourneys or experience stop/startdriving or drive within inner-city orurban areas.

ESC: Electronic Stability Control isdesigned to stabilise the dynamichandling response of the vehicle bycounteracting any tendency towardsoversteer or understeer. The ESCconstantly compares the actualmovement of the vehicle withpredetermined values and accordingto the situation ESC reacts by brakingeach wheel individually (according todirection of slip) and automaticallyadjusting the engine’s output.

Elements of ESC system:-

• ASR: anti-slip regulation tractioncontrol ensures the Yeti’s stabilitywhen pulling away or accelerating. If the engine power or torque beingtransmitted to the drive wheels is too great, for example on a slipperyroad surface, engine torque isautomatically reduced until optimumroad holding returns, thus preventingwheelspin. A light indicates whetherthe ASR system is on. It can bemanually switched off.

• MSR: the engine torque controlsystem recognises when the wheelsare subject to too much slippageand regulates the power supply by intervening in the enginemanagement system. This preventswheelspin when, for example,changing down on a smooth or wetroad surface. MSR is a constituentpart of the ASR system.

• EDS: the electronic differential lockcontinually compares the rpm of thedrive wheels, and if it identifies adifference between them whichcould lead to an individual wheelspinning, for example if the twowheels are on different types ofsurface or accelerating on wetleaves, the system brakes the wheelaffected until uniform rpm of alldrive wheels is restored.

• HBA: Hydraulic brake assistantincreases the optimal build-up ofbrake power. It ensures complete useof the brake system potential, thusshortening the braking distance.

• DSR: Driver SteeringRecommendation – in a crisissituation it helps the driver stabilize a skid by making a slightintervention in the steering.

• ESBS: Electronic Stability BrakeSystem – targeted interventions inthe braking process improve thehandling of a car as it brakes whenpassing round a bend and keeps itfrom veering.

AFM: records and assesses allavailable data about the journey to optimize the ESC system’sreactions, which can thus be adaptedto any driving style and the current vehicle payload.

HHC: Hill hold control allows for asafe hill start by holding the brake fora small amount of time, reducing therisk of unintentional reversing or rollback.

TPM: Draws the driver’s attention toany pressure loss in any of the tyres.Early warning can prevent damagefrom occurring as a result of an underinflated tyre or a defect that radicallychanges the cars behaviour anddriveability.

Xenon lights: the Xenon lightsproduce about 2.5 times the light of standard Halogen lights with 35% less energy consumption.

Technical glossary

Extended warranty Exclusions and limitationsWear and tear components will only be considered under the terms of thewarranty for the first of six months or 6,500 miles, whichever is soonest. These include, but are not limited to brake linings and disc pads, clutch releasebearings, clutch pressure plates and centre plates, tyres, wiper blades, seat andbackrest covers, floor coverings, spark plugs, batteries for key fobs and alarms, light bulbs and shock absorbers.

Mechanical adjustments including but not limited to adjustments to doors, flaps, boot lids, bonnets and sunroof, brake adjustment, clutch adjustment, v belt adjustment, ignition adjustment, headlight adjustment, steering geometry adjustments and wheel balancing are excluded.

Damage (including but not limited to the following) is excluded:

> Damage caused by your failure to take all reasonable steps to prevent mechanical damage from occurring.

> Damage or defects caused by not having the vehicle serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

> Damage or defects caused by improper use of the vehicle, neglect or use of the vehicle for motor sports activities.

> Damage caused by an accident.> Damage to paintwork or chrome caused by external influences,

such as climatic, chemical or industrial pollution.> Damage resulting from the use of non-original replacement parts.

Routine maintenance and servicing is not covered by the warranty. Incidental or consequential costs such as hotel charges, car hire, loss of personal effects or income are not recoverable under theterms of the warranty.

Service Intervals When you order your Yeti, you can choose whether your car is on a fixed or aflexible service regime. Your retailer will help you decide which regime suits howyour car will be driven, enabling your car to stay in the best possible shape.

Fixed regime: Service every 10,000 miles or one year (whichever comes first). This is recommended if the vehicle is likely to be used in the following way:

> Driven fewer than 10,000 miles per annum and/or> Mainly short journeys, drive mostly in towns or cities and/or> High vehicle loading/towing and frequent hill climbs and/or> Heavy accelerating and braking, using high revs

Flexible regime: Sensors in the engine detect when a service is needed. You willbe informed of this by a service light which will show at any point between 9,000and 20,000 miles, up to 24 months (whichever comes first).

The flexible service regime is recommended for vehicles with a daily mileage ofmore than 25 miles where the vehicle is driven regularly and mainly at a constantspeed with minimum vehicle and engine loading, minimal towing and driven in aneconomical manner.

OTR (Recommended On The Road)* Recommended ‘On the Road’ prices include

delivery, 12 months Road Fund Licence,DVLA First registration Fee (at £55), andapply to the United Kingdom only.

VED (Vehicle Excise Duty)** All vehicles will be subject to Vehicle

Excise Duty based on the fuel type of the vehicle and its carbon dioxide (CO2)emissions level, measured in grams perkilometre (g/km). Due to changes invehicle emissions data, CO2 figures maydiffer on these vehicles if taken fromcurrent ŠKODA UK stock. The VED bandsare shown in the table opposite.
