The New Forest
Can you spot the oddity?
They were so comfortable & relaxed. It was
great to see : )
Where we stayed
We stayed at a guest house called The Barn Vegan Guest House.
http://www.veggiebarn.net
It was a gorgeous, homely place. The couple who own it are called Sandra & Richard. They took great care of us
What I liked about The Barn Vegan Guest House. • The Guest House itself
– As I said it was lovely to stay in as it was cosy. Homely. – The beds had a memory foam mattress. So we slept well.– The cat was gorgeous. Friendly.
• Sandra & Richard who own and manage The Guest House – They were open, warm, friendly, honest, helpful, knowledgeable & very creative
• The home cooked vegan 3 course dinner we enjoyed– Wow! The menu had so many options & everything was vegan!– The food is sourced locally– It’s cooked whilst we’re there, as opposed to being frozen and defrosted– It was absolutely yummy!
• The vegan breakfast we were spoilt with – We got so many ideas re how to change what we have for breakfast – So many choices which we hadn’t considered
• How ‘green’ it is– Energised by solar panels – Little booklets telling the reader how to reduce their carbon footprint – A radio which works when you wind it up. Very cool : )
• The conservatory – Gorgeous view– Lovely and warm – Spacious yet we weren’t drowning in space
The Queens Head
The amazing unexpected menu at the Queens Head
What’s with the last slide?Well…we didn’t expect to get a vegan meal
in a pub unless we were somewhere like
Brighton. So when we heard that we’d be
catered for at the Queens Head, we HAD to
go & check it out!
Both the managers are vegan so they don’t
just have daily veggie options, but they try
and include vegan options too!
Definitely worth a visit
