NRCAL HIGHLIGHT: LAUNCH OF VIETNAMESE VOCABULARY HANDBOOK AND
VIETNAMSES HISTORY PICTURE BOOK
http://
Sổ Tay Chính Tả Tiếng Việt (Vietnamese
Vocabulary Handbook) published by Hung
Su Viet Foundation and Vietnamese History
Picture Book published by the Association of
The Vietnamese Language & Culture
Schools (TAVIET-LCS) are now available to
teachers, students, and parents world-
wide. The publication of these books was
launched through a live show on Saigon
Broadcasting Television Network (SBTN).
Dr. Natalie Tran, Director of NRCAL, was
invited to give a speech at the event.
Sổ Tay Chính Tả Tiếng Việt (The Vietnamese Vocabulary Handbook) serves as a useful guide for both
beginner and advanced learners of Vietnamese – each page is filled with words, definition of words, and how
each word can be used in a given context. The book is comprised of 624 pages focusing on the rules for
Vietnamese consonants, vowels and diacritic marks. It is a heavily researched manual about how and when to
use a particular Vietnamese word in the proper context.
The Vietnamese History Picture Book was composed by Bui Van Bao, an expert in the field. TAVIET-LCS is
authorized to publish the series in 15 volumes. In an effort to strengthen Vietnamese language development
for the younger generation of Vietnamese Americans, TAVIET-LCS hopes that this book will be a valuable
resource for Vietnamese language educators, students, parents, and the community at large.
